Positive: The staff is exceptionally kind. The rooms are always so clean, the fridge, microwave , the bathrooms. I’m the type to bring my own cleaning supplies, broom, floor cleaner, windex, because ive stayef in some very atrocious places before. I haven’t touched any of my supplies! It’s quiet,the grounds are monitored 24/7 and I feel safe.and I’ve had zero issues with anything. This is my 2nd stay and I stay for around a week eachtime. I come here to be closer to a few Dr appointments I have once a month and I find it easier to just stay up in the area.
Negative: Nothing.
Summary: Definitely a hidden gem.

Positive: It did not offer breakfast, not even coffee or merely hot water for at least a hot drink to have in the morning; it was quite accessible to most places we needed to go to. Parking area is available though a little scary to leave stuff in your vehicle due to some "strangers/homeless people" roaming around the vicinity.
Negative: Hardly have any wall outlet to plug i your device & the one they currently have in our room is loose & can't hold the adapter to charge your device; towels are rough & "dirty white in color" & needed some more extra fabric softener so won't be harsh to at least use to dry up your body. Hardly have anything decent to watch on tv & a lot of foreign language channels not guest friendly; Hardly slept since you can hear the noise from the upper tenant's room esp around 3am moving furnitures & heavy footsteps walking around the room. Fridge froze all our food in it & wasted!
Summary: Kinda worth the price you paid for but can still improve to invite more guests to stay again

Positive: Sand Piper Motel was decent. Not in a negative light. I actually did have peace of where I stayed at. The location of the motel did seem very sketchy at first. Sometimes some of the sketchiest motel locations turn out to be an actual blessing in disguise. The staff were definitely nice to me. The room was spacious as a kitchenette room. It was definitely very clean. NO BED BUGS AT ALL!!! THAT'S A PLUS.
Negative: It isn't the staff nor the owner's responsibility or moral obligation but I would love to see them offer cheaper rates to massively help certain homeless individuals to be able to seek shelter when it's needed. Especially since Orange County has an overwhelming amount of homelessness and limited resources available as is. I understand we can't all save everyone from homelessness, but it would make a noticable difference to be a real helping hand every once in awhile. Y'all would be a major blessing if that was implemented.

Positive: My car recently broke down and my apartment was being fumigated, so my wife and I decided to stay at a local motel, and we chose they Sandpiper Motel for it's convenient location.The staff was very flexible and accommodating with our reservations, check-in and stay. The room's with a stove, and refrigerator are a little worn and dated, but well designed, and comfortable with great afternoon ocean breezes. Again though, the staff shines brightly.
