Those keen on fishing are spoilt for choice. The Boat Shed, within walking distance, is where you can hire all your fishing gear and a boat or other watercraft (eg SUP).
The Entrance also has all you need in terms of the essentials, as well as Bars and Restaurants.
I would suggest starting with a visit to The Tourist Information Centre on The Entrance Lake front.
Getting Around:
The best way to explore this area is by car, although there are regular bus routes. Taxis and Uber are also available. There's still plenty of things to do even without a car, if you are happy just to walk or catch the bus.
