A secluded ranch house overlooking a vineyard and serene pond surrounded by pastures and wooded trails. Convenient to Round Top, La Grange, Smithville, Bastrop, McDade, and Elgin. Many wineries and special events nearby!
Large open kitchen, specialty kitchen equipment, and breakfast area with gorgeous views. Large dining room with buffet sideboard and table seating for 12.
Three lounge/living areas with large flat screens, DISH and streaming. Wine room with bar refrigerator, wine refrigerator, icemaker, blender and double tap Kegerator accommodating two “sixth” kegs.
Pool/spa patio with covered table seating for 12, additional conversation areas, fire pit, flat top griddle, and gas grill/smoker with side burners.
Pond with seating area, paddle boat and fishing gear. Kid’s adventure with tree fort, kid-sized zip line, netted trampoline, ninja obstacle course, tree swings and sand pit. Outdoor equipment provided corn hole, horseshoes, Kubb and croquet.
Guests are invited to walk the vineyard, “meet” the horses, collect eggs, and harvest from our vegetable gardens.

Summary: Such a beautiful and relaxing property, and Valerie and Ryan were spectacular hosts! The house is comfortable, inviting, and has everything you would need for a weekend (or longer, if possible!) getaway. The kitchen is abundantly furnished, as are the bedrooms and bathrooms. More to do on this property than anywhere we've stayed before...we will be back to visit our new friends Valerie and Ryan as soon as practical. Just do it...you won't regret it! :)

Summary: We had an excellent time at Savage Ranch! Our group of 13 (8 adults and 5 toddlers) had plenty of space and endless activities (pool time, board games, guitar hero, etc) for two days. The kids enjoyed seeing the chicken, ducks and horses on the property. Ryan and Valerie were great hosts and made us feel at home. Highly recommend!

Summary: Our family of 13 (7 adults, 6 kids) had a great time at Savage Ranch during our stay! We all had our own space to spread out and there were plenty of activities to keep us busy inside the house. (Great selection of board games). Valerie and Ryan were absolutely wonderful hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome in their home. The kids adored the visits to the chickens, ducks, horses, multiple gardens and kids area with the zipline. Most of all, we all loved swimming and hanging by the pool in the lovely Texas Hill Country setting. Thank you, Savage Ranch, for your hospitality!

Summary: We absolutely loved the Savage Ranch. Valerie is a fantastic host and really goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your stay. We pretty much maxed out the volume of guests and were all comfortable with plenty of restrooms. It is a beautiful property and had the added bonus of getting to feed the horses with the kids and teach them about picking veggies from the garden. We really enjoyed the great game collection, and the swimming pool and hot tub got a lot of use. We highly recommend Savage Ranch to anyone looking to get out to the country and relax with family.

Summary: Savage Ranch is a wonderful venue for a large group. The hosts are fantastic and readily available. It was warm in some of the bedrooms and the coffee maker wasn’t working well. The host came over immediately to address the issues. We loved the welcome basket with fresh vegetables and eggs! We enjoyed the little extras. It is a well stocked kitchen and you won’t lack for anything! This is a ranch property and not a spa. So, expect a well loved, ranch feel as opposed to a brand new spa. It was a lovely stay and we hope to return.

Summary: This place is perfect for large groups! Home was the perfect size to accommodate 10 adults and 3 kids. There was something for all of us to do. So much space to spread out through the home. We enjoyed the fresh air and disconnect from city life. The kids and family enjoyed swims in the pool. We had the chance to explore the property with fishing in the pond, walks through the designated trails, even getting chance to feed the gorgeous horses which was everyones highlight to the trip. My favorites had to be the morning sunrise and the view of the stars at night were breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back! Valerie & Ryan were awesome hosts so informative and helpful with giving us a tour of their beautiful home upon arrival. Great communication, great location, amazing home with amenities for everyone to enjoy. You will not regret booking this for your next trip.
