Positive: It was delightful. From the cottage decor, to the amenities, the books, the garden and the location. A great place to disconnect and to reconect. Incredibly quiet and serene. The chickens were adorable and cute. We got to see three beautiful deers cross from behind the cottage. The owner was very nice and detail oriented. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to rest but yet the cottage was only a few miles away from downtown which was pretty easy and close enough to drive back and forth.

Positive: Location was great for what we needed it for. The cottage is very cute! My daughter and her BF loved the chickens! The area was quiet and since I suffer from misophonia, that is very important to me. The owner does have a dog (barking is one of my main triggers) but she was respectful of keeping the dog mostly quiet. The dog did bark occasionally but definitely not early in the morning! The beds were comfy and there was plenty of towels. Having an in-unit washer/dryer was nice also!
Negative: There were ants in the kitchen. It was a rainy weekend, so I am sure that had something to do with it, plus being in the south! It was hard in the 2nd bedroom with no closet, maybe hooks can be put up in case someone needs to hang something? A privacy curtain would be nice also between that same bedroom and the bathroom door, as they are in the same room, albeit the bathroom is in a little hallway.
Summary: Very pleasant stay!

Positive: Lovely romantic cottage with lots of space, very private, well equipped kitchen, frontporche. There were chickens on the grounds and we could use the fresh eggs.
Negative: Only remark is about the beds. The matrasses could have been better. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Negative: It’s about 20 minutes to downtown and a little farther than I expected. bring a rubber bath mat, tub is small and slippery.Tall beds for short people.
