Positive: The property was in a perfect location....on the water, but set back from the ocean. Quiet and serene....Just what is needed after a long day of fishing in Warrenton.
Negative: The kitchen needed some attention. Oven was filthy and needed a really good clean. The dehumidifiers all around the house did not seem to be working, keeping the humidity quite high. Property was built in 1964 and appears to have not been remodeled since which is not necessarily a bad thing.

Positive: The location to the beach is great. This home requires that you're mobile. Stairs to get into the house from the garage or to access the front door or the back yard to reach the beach. Large accommodations, sleeps 10-12 but only seats in the living area five adults comfortably. Plenty of seating for dining in kitchen area and dining room for playing games.
Negative: Not enough seating in the living room area. Very small television making viewing from the couch or love seat difficult. Really needs at min 40-50 inch television. There's a old school television down stairs we couldn't get to work. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable and I would recommend a king size more comfortable mattress. Sleeping was difficult for my husband and I. The pillows in the master were heavily used and stained and not hygienic in my opinion. Shouldn't have been on the bed. The mattress cover was old and barely covered the bed. The mattress is cheap and uncomfortable. There were no towels in the bathroom, didn't in anyway mimick the pictures depicting the bathroom. All the towels were downstairs in the laundry room very damp and folded up as if ready to go upstairs. I had to re-dry all the white and the blue and white towels. The furniture downstairs in the TV room was stained. The house had a musty smell when you walked in. The reason is because the dryer vents into the garage causing excessive moisture. Two dehumidifiers (Upstairs and downstairs) had to be emptied at least twice daily and ran non stop during our visit. The dishwasher was broken and full of dirty water. Both couches has not been cleaned underneath on hardwood floors very dusty and debris. I realize this house is new to the rental market. With some better beds, more seating for visiting, less internal humidity, initial presentation to match pictures this house has great potential in the vacation home business. I'd move the downstairs furniture upstairs and include it the three living area. I can see the colors and styles would blend effortlessly. Bigger TV for families with children.

Positive: Location and size of home. Room for lots of people and walk to the beach in a few minutes.
Negative: The dryer vent is IN the garage. That dumps moisture, lint and smell into it. The inside of garage has moldy smell which then gets into the basement level of the house giving everything a very musty smell. After we opened all doors and windows and made sure man door in garage was closed, it kind of went away. The smell in garage never left even after leaving the doors up for several days. A few more chairs outside would be nice, and a bar-b-que is NEEDED.
