Positive: Great location and space. Overall was an ok stay. Owner was very responsive when we reported a small issue with the front door - which did not affect our stay.
Negative: Property is a bit tired, furniture could be upgraded (couch downstairs and the lounge chair upstairs). It could do with a deep clean, cobwebs and dust etc. The most off putting thing was cat poo that was in the carport/near front door. The smell is very off putting and it’s hard not to step in it when accessing the bins. I understand that the cats do not belong to the owner (other houses), but need to investigate what can be sprayed to stop the cats from using the car port and surrounding area as a toilet. I’m sure there is a solution. You could smell it as soon as the front door was opened as you stepped outside.

Positive: We liked the location right by the beach. Nice little garden, probably nicer in summer but it was still nice to spend the afternoon on the veranda and eat cake.
Negative: Not enough room at the table for six people. Quite noisy due to proximity to the airport

Positive: The property is quite central to Nelson City and surrounding suburbs. Very close to the airport, Tahuna beach and nature world. The property was very well equipped for winter with a heater in the bathroom, heated towel racks, air conditioning in the lounge room and electric blankets in all beds. The kitchen is very practical with all the kitchen essentials toaster, kettle and electric stove top and oven. The property also has a laundry with a second toilet and washing machine. The property has a fully functioning wifi and a backyard.
Negative: Had a few issues with birds in the roof and walls making noises at the early hours of the morning. The property shares its driveway with 2 other properties, which are long term tenants. One of the tenants has a few cats which actually defecate under the carport forcing us to park the car outside, as you could not avoid stepping in their droppings. The property is extremely close to the airport and planes are constantly coming and going from around 4:30am to 10:00pm
Summary: This property is good for small family on a budget staying short term.
