Located forty minutes south of Perth, Rockingham is a holiday resort city of some 142,000 residents. In 1827 Captain James Stirling landed on Garden Island just off the coast, and two years later the Swan River Colony was founded. Nowadays, Garden Island is home to HMAS Stirling Naval Base, Australia's largest fleet base. In the early days, Rockingham was a busy port for the timber industry, shipping jarrah and sandlewood overseas. Summary: I stayed for 8 days, it is a cosy and well equipped unit and I appreciated the little extras that the owner had done to facilitate my stay eg pantry, bathroom and laundry items. I found it a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It ticked all my boxes.

Summary: The apartment is up one flight of stairs, about 2 mins walk to Rockingham Beach with the balcony fronting Kent Street across from the bowls club. Spacious and scrupulously clean 2 bedroom with a separate toilet, washing machine, full kitchen with lots of cutlery and crockery. Good size lounge room and dining area. The airon worked well on the hot days we were there. It's about a 10 min walk to the IGA, close by to restaurants and coffees shops. Communication and checkin with the host was first rate. We felt right at home from the minute we got there. Will definately stay again.

Summary: Property is in a good location, close to beach and restaurants. It was clean and tidy and was adequate for the needs of myself and adult daughter. Could do with a little bit of updating and better beds as not that comfortable. Only complaint is that the neighbours are extremely noisy so makes. Probably not much the owner can do about that as the other units are obviously residential rather than holiday let’s.
