Cabin located off beaten path down a country road 4 miles from I 55. Prefect for romantic getaway or share with family & friends. Located near several award winning wineries nearby. Includes 1 fishing pond, fire pit, scenic porch, charcoal BBQ and picnic table. Cabin includes 42" TV with DVD player and various movies, kitchen and sleeping arrangements for up to 5 people. One bedroom with king, one with 2 twins and roll-away. Nearest restaurant is the Bayou Bar & Grill just a few miles away in Pocahontas and features live music.

Summary: We loved our trip this time like we do every time we come to the cabin. It is ALWAYS clean, fully stocked with all the essentials you would need wheather you plan on staying in the whole trip cooking, snuggling infront of the fireplace or watching movies or sitting on the porch with a cup or coffee or glass of wine enjoying the breathtaking view around outside. We LOVED the renovations of Cabin #1 and cant wait to come back when we can fish in the lake. Cheryl always makes you feels welcome by leaving a little snack basket and personalized welcome sign. Best Hosts we have ever dealt with.. Thank you we'll be back soon😊

Summary: Great cabin for a getaway, not too far from Trail of Tears State Park. Easy check in and host was responsive. Equipped as expected with comfortable bed and good hot water. You have to go through the second bedroom to reach the bathroom, but was great for the two of us.

Summary: Mist rising over the pond in the morning, an inviting front porch with a view and no Wi-Fi. It was a back-to-the-basics getaway for our anniversary. The night sky is beautiful without city lights lessening it’s impact. Limited number of restaurants in the immediate area, but we found an excellent restaurant in Jackson called T-Ravs. We sat outside overlooking a small river, and the food was very good, as was the service. Cape Girardeau county is beautiful. Dormitory-sized fridge a bit small, but it was fine for our eggs, milk and other breakfast groceries. The cabin was decorated in a Southwestern motif and everything was extremely clean. Thank you , Cheryl, for providing everything we needed right down to fresh flowers as a welcome.

Summary: Communication with Cheryl before or stay was great. Specifics were covered as well as facts about the cabin. We were expecting rain but ended up with a wonderful Sunday spent waking the property, fishing, reading on the porch, barbecuing (all BBQ essentials were included!), having a bonfire and roasting smores (firewood was provided!), and enjoying the seclusion of this beautiful countryside. The beds were very comfortable and the living space allowed us to play inside with the toys we brought for the kids. We had a wonderful time!

Summary: We enjoyed our visit with family in this serene and cozy cabin. We have stayed in the neighboring cabin years ago, and we appreciate how helpful the new owners were to help accommodate our stay. The walls are thin, so be prepared to be close to and hear those you are staying with in the cabin. Also, bring bug spray. We came in July and the mosquitoes were out in swarms around the lake in the evening. All in all, we had a great stay!

Summary: We had a great time! the property was exactly what we needed. A quiet secluded cabin with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. We had fun catching baby frogs and the firepit made it easy to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Definitely recommend this to others and if you have two families traveling together you could each book your own cabin and relax together. We explored the local state park and conservation center, had good food and a great time. Thanks Cheryl :)

Summary: Cheryl was very friendly and offered a list of wineries and trails to visit. The cabin was perfect for two and had everything we needed for cooking and campfires. The inside was very clean and cozy and the views outside were so amazing. Would definitely return!
