3 Bedroom Cabin in Gwinn

Quaint rustic log cabin on Horseshoe Lake. Private and peaceful. Great swimming beach and fishing right off the dock. Property is loaded with blueberries and wooded on all sides, very private. Perfect for a romantic getaway or time with the family.
2 bedrooms and a loft.

Please note: cabin was built in the 40's. Has bathroom, kitchen, comfortable beds and cozy living room but it is a rustic log cabin. Floors are not level. It is not modern. I spend weeks up here with my kids every Summer and they love the rustic feel. There is a pellet stove for cold nights and window AC units if you get hot but to be honest have had very little need for either.

Summary: We had a great time at this lake cabin. It is on the water, the kids really enjoyed kayaking and fishing. My daughter caught a good size large mouth bass, her prize catch this summer. The yard is private and wooded. There are neighbors, however that doesn't take away from the woodsy secluded feel. There is plenty of room in the cabin, it was very comfortable. I would recommend bringing a way to cook meals. We did all of our meals camp style. We used the grill and cast iron pans. We also had a turkey fryer burner to boil water and cook various items. The location was the perfect distance for driving to various UP excursions. We would definitely go back, the kids all asked if we could do it again next summer!

Summary: We stayed here with our 2 kids, ages 12 & 13. The lake, paddleboat and kayaks available made this cabin THE perfect getaway for my fishing obsessed family. My daughter enjoyed her first sauna, lake front at that. The cabin was perfectly imperfect for us! Cozy with rustic quirks that made us feel at home. Along with all the amenities for cooking you could possibly need while enjoying the outdoors. We slept like a dream in the master bedroom. It’s not “fancy”, but you’ll feel like you’ve truly disconnected from real life, without sacrificing any major creature comforts. We felt like we were staying at a family’s cabin that has created many wonderful memories. Our family did as well!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Summary: Great stay!! Rustic secluded cabin. We very much enjoyed and will be back. It's near a campground so not fully in the woods but it's extremely private and a great set up! Owner is very sweet and available if you need to call

Summary: While it is not s secluded as described it was a nice getaway .The property is very cute just what I’d expect from a cabin this age. Its not perfect not modern but that is what makes it so cute and gives you the outdoors cabin experience ! The only drawback or thing I would improve on is the cooking arrangements there’s no stove and the electric counter top appliances don’t quite work as they should and made cooking a challenge. I would definitely go back here and just bring my own burner and toaster oven. Overall this was a great vacation and we enjoyed the cabin and the surrounding towns and scenery .

Summary: Property was just as described! A nice cabin on the lake! This cabin was off of the beaten path which made for nice campfires in the evenings. The town is close for quick errands to the grocery store, and it’s not a bad drive to Marquette or Munising to see the sights! Unfortunately there was no provided firewood as listed and the dock was underwater due to high lake levels. No big deal really, we found some wood in town and you could easily launch the kayaks and paddle boat from shore. We had a little trouble getting the DVD player to work for the little ones but eventually got it going. A few repairs around the cabin would be helpful-door handles are loose and doors added to the bedrooms would be nice. Overall this was a great place to stay! It worked well for our family. We didn’t mind the rustic side of things and really liked the location.

Summary: Property is large semi private. House visable next door with full time residents. It is peaceful and quiet area. Cabin was clean smelling great when we arrived. The fishing is excellent! Great fire pit for bonfires and cooking. Will need to provide wood.for.your trip with many locals in town who will deliver. The fridge does not cool properly, have to push power cool every few hours to cool the food. It gets very hot inside and air conditioning could not.keep up with the temp outside. Thankfully is was only warm out for two days of trip. We really enjoyed this vacation, the locals are friendly and so helpful. For us this is exactly what we were looking for in a rustic cabin with beautiful location! Thank you so much for sharing this piece of paradise with us.
