A truly relaxing cabin retreat in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. For all of the outdoor enthusiasts and sightseers, a four seasons private getaway. Cabin is located right on the Presque Isle River. Kayak/fish in the summer. Snowmobile/ATV trails are a stone's throw away. Close to ski resorts, Porcupine Mountain State Park, numerous waterfalls and hiking trails in the Ottawa National Forest. Or just relax next to the fire pit and take in the view of the river. Perfect cabin for groups and families. Cabin has all the amenities and decorated in a Northwoods theme. Relax by the fireplace in the knotty pine rustic living room and enjoy the gorgeous views of the river outside. Step into the large bar area featuring foosball and hockey game tables. Walk out onto the back deck and build a fire in the firepit near the river. Inside there are 3 bedrooms. Main bedroom has a king size bed. Off of the kitchen, a second bedroom with a queen and a full size bed. The third bedroom features 4 custom made bunk beds. Kids will love these. Full kitchen with everything you will need. There is a washer and dryer as well.

Summary: Great cabin to spend the night with family

Summary: Pictures do not do it justice, the cabin was much larger than expected and the river is right in the backyard! Big open kitchen with a large table, living room has a large sectional and recliner, the bunk room is fabulous and the master bedroom is perfect with a comfy bed! The cabin has all the little items that you need for your stay such as shampoo, body wash, spices in the kitchen, every phone charger you could need, it’s the small things that make a huge difference. The bar area overlooks the back patio and has foosball and table hockey. Step outside where there is a fire pit overlooking the river. Only 10 mins to Wakefield and 20 mins to the bigger city of Ironwood. Takes 15 minutes to get to a beautiful scenic route that takes you past numerous waterfalls and ends at Lake Superior. The hosts always responded within minutes and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely perfect hidden gem!!

Summary: My boyfriend and I took a combined family vacation here and LOVED it. We have 7 kids aged 7-14 and the set up was perfect. The younger boys loved the bunk room and the game room leading to the deck was a huge hit. They played plenty of games, but it was also a "second kitchen" where the kids could eat or we could leave out food for them to snack on without coming back and forth through the house. They swam, fished, and kayaked on the river and we were very close (for UP standards) to a ton of beautiful attractions to explore (bond falls, porcupine mountains, superior) as well as a city if we needed anything. I was nervous about 1 bathroom between the 7 of us but it turned out to be a non issue. Kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of things we needed to use. Great place and great hosts.

Summary: We only stayed one day on our way thru, but this is a great getaway venue for a small group. It is a spacious venue that includes a game room. Everything you could need is provided. The only down side is the bugs - mosquitos & other flying insects. If you spend anytime outdoors you will endure a barrage of bug bites. However, it's the same throughout this geography; it's not any worse here. The bugs in this part of the country in Summer are bad. Out of the property, turning right, you will find AJ's restaurant about 7-8 miles down the road. The food there is very good and if you can get a seat out on the back deck, the view of the lack is amazing. They make fresh, wood-oven fired pizzas there. They aren't that big, but they are very good. The property includes a strong internet signal and Direct TV. If this location is anywhere on your journey, then I highly recommend to stay here. Make sure you have everything you need(food & drinks) before you arrive because there aren't many stores in the nearby area. The owner of this property is very nice and supremely attentive to his guests.
