Summary: ob was really accommodating. He made certain that we could find the property, which is hidden in the woods. Rob also supplied additional essentials upon request. The property is off-grid, which means it is powered by a wind turbine, solar panels, and a generator as needed. Only the sounds of automobiles may be heard on the opposite side of the river. It was a revitalizing and re-energizing trip. My wife and I strongly advise staying at Rob's cabin! Thank you, Rob, for an excellent stay!

Summary: The stay here was great and exactly what we needed. A very clean cabin way off the beaten path with all the ammenities you could need. Rob was very nice and there at any time if needed. We brought our Orv and were able to ride just up the road to get onto the huge trail system. We would definitley stay at Robs guesthouse again!

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. My husband and I came with our two small dogs to enjoy the beautiful Upper Penninsula for four nights. Rob is living on the property as well but never did we feel uncomfortable or like he was "right there" (his cabin is far enough away). In fact it put us at ease that there was someone close by that could be there in a snap in case something went wrong. The cabin itself is very comfortable and has all the necessities to live off grid and enjoy the beauty of the forest and river. The lane to get there is very long but it is very beautiful. There were tons of wildflowers in bloom and lots of opportunities to spot some wildlife.We enjoyed the drive back and even took a few long walks down it in the evenings. The river is so picturesque and beautiful. We just couldn't ask for more! Rob was a very gracious host and we had a few fun and interesting conversations with him. We hope to stay there again someday!

Summary: There was no mention of the property owner living in a cabin 10 ft from the one we rented in the listing or we wouldn't of rented it. We were expecting total seclusion away from people and we were not alone the whole time bc owner lives RIGHT THERE. It was a huge blow to our honeymoon, when all we wanted was our own private area to stay but it was a bit uncomfortable. Although the property is beautiful on the Escanaba river, (but isn't easy access to the river). The owner was nice but once again the closeness of the owner was not accurate in description, so if you want privacy this is not for you.

Summary: You would be hard pressed to find a more peaceful setting. Right on the river. Sleeping with the windows open and the sound of the river was amazing. The owner was very helpful getting you into the property and couldn’t have been nicer to us. We wished we could stay longer, but we will definitely return. The cabin has just enough amenities to make your stay comfortable. We rode our side by sides to the local restaurant “Up North” and enjoyed our food and drinks. Rode to Ishpeming on backroads and the views were amazing! Miss it already.
