Beautiful, rustic one bedroom cabin located in acres of woods on a lively tidal salt pond. Ten minutes from cultural Blue Hill with its offerings of music, theater, dining, brew pub and art galleries. Near Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and Deer Isle. Enjoy kayaking and swimming. Please sign the liability waiver if you use our kayaks. We have a swim dock with a ladder that has a ramp from the shore. The water was in the 70's this summer. Sunsets, abundant bird life and cool ocean breezes can be appreciated from the deck, outdoor shower, fire pit, or hammock . It is quiet and peaceful!

Summary: We simply loved our fall getaway at Piney Home. The cabin is small but sufficient for two and very well equipped for guests. Conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Lots of hiking trails in the area. Ended several nights sitting around a campfire taking in the sunset over the water.

Summary: My stay at Piney Home with my chihuahua was wonderful. Arriving the first day, the salt pond beyond the cottage nearly brought me to tears. How lucky that I got a whole week to gaze out at the fog, birds, seaweed and tidal flats fir a whole week. Lovely to be so close to the Schoodic peninsula. Wonderful tidepooling and swimming at the Blue Hill Falls bridge area. Well stocked house, simple but well curated. Thank you!

Summary: Our stay at the Piney Home was exactly what was needed. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the location was perfect for us, secluded in the woods with a beautiful view of Salt pond. It was so nice to get unplugged in peace and quiet for several days.
