Summary: We were in town for our daughter’s wedding. The house was very nice and clean. Very beautiful property. The Heath’s were great at communicating with us about everything. We recommend this property for anyone staying in the area. And Doc is very sweet !

Summary: Property is really beautiful. The house is great. It is obviously not a dedicated rental only, the owners do live there, fridge/pantry, closets with personal items, in case that bothers anyone just an fyi. We had a random loss of power, not any of the owners fault but their generator didn’t kick in either, the owner was very responsive and did everything they could including offer places for us to go and refund for the time the power was off ( like 7 hrs) We would still stay here again.

Summary: I can't say enough nice things about this location or the host. Staci was extremely nice and readily available through out our stay. We stayed during our sons travel baseball tournament and she graciously allowed the coaches to come and relax with us in the evenings. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Summary: The Heath family went above and beyond to insure we had an amazing stay for our wedding weekend! The property was the perfect setting for our intimate wedding. We were greeted by a wedding gift bag, a pristine house, freshly landscaped flower beds, and mowed grass. All of this coupled with a stunning house and view of the lake made for a perfect weekend! Our wedding had a total of 23 people, and the house was able to accommodate our group perfectly. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to have our wedding at such a beautiful house/property.

Summary: This property truly is a place to get away. I did not hear a car for two days. Very peaceful and very accommodating. The comforts of a nice resort set in the woods. We enjoyed the fishing, sitting on the back porch and the sights and sounds of nature! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and added the perfect touch of hospitality! I would highly recommend this property for your next get away!

Summary: I was looking for an overnight get-away for a girlfriend group/birthday that was not too much of a drive from Big D. This Zen gem was the second property that came up in my search. I looked no further. As amazing as it looks and sounds online, it’s is so much more in person. It is an elegant, comfortable, well-appointed home perfectly positioned within a scenic natural reserve landscape. There is a coy pond and a hen house. We saw geese skimming the lake’s surface, turtles sunning on logs and fish breaching. It is a secluded, peaceful, wooded sanctuary. The front lawn gracefully spreads down to the private lake backdropped by a curtain of trees. The back lawn stretches out to the wood line where a 1 mile trail winds through the woods ending at the lakes edge. And although wooded, there are cleared spaces within the lawn where one could imagine family activities like touch football, volleyball, croquet or an Easter egg hunt. The dogwoods were just beginning to bloom at our visit but this landscape would be captivating in all seasons. The owners, Staci and Keith were gracious and accommodating. Their dog, Doc was a friendly, well mannered outdoor companion.
