Stunning, tranquil and secluded villa situated in the heart of the Umbrian countryside in a wild flower meadow along a private lane. Garden designed to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the salt water infinity pool. Plenty of room for both outside (two shaded areas) and inside entertaining (a large open plan well equipped kitchen/dining area) in peaceful surroundings. Casella sleeps from 6 very comfortably with three double bedrooms ,one en suite and two other bathrooms.Large sitting room with wood burner for chilly nights. Located a short walk from the local hilltop village of Montone which offers bars, excellent restaurants and local shops . Montone is famed for its fiestas in the summer and autumn. The village square is the ideal place to relax and watch the world go by. The area is excellent for walking and cycling (cycles can be hired locally). Montone is situated close to the centre of Italy in Umbria and is an undiscovered gem of a region just half an hour from Perugia airport and an easy drive to many tourist attractions, Assisi, Montefalco, Urbino, Orvieta to name a few.

Summary: This was an outstanding villa - everything you could need for a relaxing holiday, surrounded by nature. We logged 30 different birds, a family of deer and a herd of wild boar whilst sitting in one of the 2 shady and beautiful outdoor areas. The infinity pool is magical - a place to return to!

Summary: This place is absolutely perfect- beautiful, comlfortable, clean and spacious house! Amazing swimming pool with spectacular view! Very guiet place, we could read the books and enjoy the silence and bnture. Very charm, little town close to thus place. It is possible to walk there. We had heavenly time there and we would like go come back. Strongly reccommended!!

Summary: The stay went extremely well, thanks to the house and its location. We particularly enjoyed the visits to Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio and we even went to Siena and the Tuscan hills. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the house of the barbecue, terraces, garden and of course the superb infinity swimming pool !!!

Summary: Beautiful rural setting but a short walk to lovely Montone for supplies, a wander and great restaurants. Wonderful pool. Everything you might need and more. Very comfortable and welcoming house. Easy drive from Perugia Airport a bonus.

Summary: Staying at Casella was a wonderful experience. The restored farmhouse had everything we needed, with plenty of room for my family to move around in. Its location was perfect, and just outside the walled medieval town of Montone, which had so much charm as well as first class dining. Driving to nearby towns was easy, with plenty to see and enjoy such as Orvieto,Todi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Assisi to name a few. It was always a pleasure to drive back to our home; quiet, with its pergolas filled with wisteria. The infinity pool would be wonderful in warmer weather too. We found it to be the perfect vacation place.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful part of Italy. The villa is in a great location with stunning views. It is well laid out and very spacious. The pool is beautiful and we could have spent all day looking at the views! The nearby village of Montone is a 15 minute walk and has lots of great places to eat. There is a fantastic fruit, veg and general groceries shop and a bakery all nearby so it was easy to pick up essentials. The area is great to explore and we would love to return soon. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Summary: We have stayed at La Casella twice, and plan to return again next year. It's such a charming house, which has a very personal feel to it. Our family has been with us both times, and they all love it, especially the grandchildren. The location is fantastic, surrounded by woods and fields. The infinity pool is wonderful, and the gardens are a great feature of the house. Lunch under the arbour in high summer is a special treat. We particularly like the large family kitchen, with its long dining table which easily seats 10 people. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, and a washing machine upstairs in one of the bathrooms, to make life easier. The village of Montone is a 12-15 minute walk, partly uphill, and a bit steep in places. I should mention that the track from the road to the house needs some careful negotiating in one or two places, and would not currently be suitable for a low slung sports car. There are some good restaurants and a couple of grocery shops, with a limited range for day to day shopping requirements. The nearby town of Umbertide ( 15 mins drive ) has a large Cooperative supermarket. All in all, a great place for a family holiday!

Summary: La Casella is a lovely large house, genuinely secluded and peaceful. Beautiful aspect. Large grounds with clean and inviting pool and comfortable outdoor seating. A twenty minute walk, including relatively steep parts, up to exceptionally pretty local village, with several good restaurants and a couple of local grocers. Large supermarket is in Umbertide, fifteen minutes drive away. The house itself is secure, well equipped, particularly the kitchen, with small-ish DVD player, three bathrooms ( all with showers.) Plenty of room inside for large group to co-exist comfortably, with scope for people to do different things - cook or sit in kitchen, read or play games in the living room, or rest or read upstairs. Highly recommended.
