Close to many Hudson Valley attractions: hiking, wineries, breweries, restaurants, Sam's Point, many more . Very romantic, high end getaway. Amenities: charcoal BBQ, mini fridge, full bath, microwave, wood fireplace, fire pit, single induction cook top, Wi-Fi, smart TV, Firewood and fire bricks available. The pool will be closing the week of October 16th 2023.
Please be aware that the water in the unit is sulfur water! It is smelly, but it is also great for your skin!
The space is completely disinfected with ozone in between stays... Super super clean... Beautiful Separate house. House is located 250 feet away from the main house. Miles of walking trails on the property. We supply bottled water, coffee and milk. We choose not to use chemicals to treat the water, but we supply bottled water in return. We do not specifically allow or disallow pets, we take each case on a case by case basis, each pet accepted to come is an additional $20.00 each / night. Pools officially closed for the season October 15th. Hottub is closed for the summer
Dozens of area attractions and restaurants. World famous rock climbing only minutes away. So much to do!
Additional amenities that are not included. These amenities are payable in cash at check in. They are available for a fee.
Fire bricks: hardwood sawdust and hydraulic pressure is used to compress these bricks, without the use of chemicals, these bricks are dryer than traditional firewood and throw more heat. They light easier as well. Each bundle of 12 is $10.
Firestarters:
These natural long leaf pine kindling are made from pine stumps, natural and the best Firestarter available. Impress your significant other with your fire building skills!
$5 dollars for a bundle of 4 (enough to start a nice fire)
Premium fire starting service: we'll build you and awesome fire with all the kindling you need and a mix of firewood and firebricks that will warm their heart and body at the same time! (ooo LA LA)

Other things to note
Four awesome border collies also live here. This is their home. They will come visit you to throw their ball and then run around the pool as they think you are drowning. The dogs are an experience unto themselves and dog lovers will enjoy them immensely. Update: the dogs have become the main attraction as people now come just to play with the dogs! They are dogs so please be smart, and keep your faces away from them. They are herding dogs, so watch while jumping in the pool.
Feel free to bring your own canine companion for an additional cleaning charge of $25.
Exterior Cabana, outdoor living room, patio, are all closed during cold weather approximately November 1st through April 15th.

Summary: This property is beautifully situated in a secluded area as a private pool area of the owners home. Gated pool area wonderful and outdoor area immaculately kept. Kitchenette suffices and bottle of wine and beverages in refrigerator is a nice touch. Bed is truly one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Cons are the bathroom and water supply. Water supply is based on well water that has not a slight but heavy sulphur odor - so if you are sensitive to this you should rethink before booking. The owner has chosen to not treat the water and the problem is once you open a faucet, the smell permeates the room with little recourse for removal. The shower is two pieces of galvanized steel and utilitarian and small with no holder for soap and no shelf for toiletries. With more consideration, this could be the perfect place. I enjoyed the pool area and restful bed, but could not tolerate the water situation.

Summary: We absolutely loved our splurge/stay here. It was out of our price range but it was NYE and worth every penny. We loved every inch of the guest house and grounds and felt like we were in our own private world. Also make sure to eat at Hoot Owl - one of the best meals we have had in a long time and we're city mice.

Summary: Beautiful setting, beautiful pool. Needed some shade (umbrellas) at pool. Outdoor space lovely. No cooking appliances which would have been an issue if we were there longer. All in all, would recommend and would come back.
