Summary: We immensely enjoyed our stay with Riccardo and Paola! The apartment was exactly as described and as it looked in the pictures. The property is absolutely charming! We hope we will be able to visit again when the weather is warmer to fully enjoy the outdoor beauty. We also thoroughly enjoyed tasting the wine and olive oils that they produce on the farm. Thanks so much for making this stay so memorable!

Summary: What a fantastic time! We LOVED our time in Paola and Riccardo’s Apartment. Our hosts were super gracious with a wonderful food basket, home made organic wine and olive oil in the apartment upon arrival. The hills, the pool, the easy trip to town, easy parking and spacious, beautiful apartment all were perfect. My husband said he wanted to bbq and Ricardo went out and bought a new bbq! So very centrally located we easily explored Tuscany for 5 days. We definitely plan on staying here again but this time with friends. Thank you!!!

Summary: My family stayed here for a week in July and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. We stayed in Belvedere apartment, with two bedrooms and living room/ kitchen. For four of us, it was more than enough space since the apartment can actually fit six people (retractable sofa in the living room), The apartment is perfectly equipped with everything that you would need for a relaxed holiday and more – tableware, kitchen utensils, towels, toiletries. Rooms are beautifully furnished in traditional Tuscan style and clean, the pool is spacious and well kept, the surrounding garden with olive trees, laurel and lavender bushes is relaxation haven but the true gem is actually the family who runs the place. I can not praise them enough – they really take care of their guests as if they are a part of the family and we felt truly at home. Particularly Paola who was always there to help and pamper us – from printing our tickets to Uffici to generously nurturing us with her wonderful bruschettas, cakes and pates. The family also makes its own wine, grappa, nociolla and olive oil which are all of excellent quality. For the rest – there's excellently stocked supermarket in the village. Not of the least importance - the wireless internet is very good throughout the house and on the front porch as well. Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is ideally situated for visiting other interesting places in Tuscany, close to Florence, Sienna and other spots in Chianti region. I highly recommend that you come by car (or rent it) as the villages scattered along the Chianti route and off the beaten track should not be missed.

Summary: We had recently stayed at the Agriturismo Annita, Le Logge apartment. Our family (my husband, 6 year old were there for 5 days the end of May/early July 2013. It was perfectly situated for day trips all over Tuscany. Although the weather forecast said rain everyday, it wasn't the case. Most of the days had sun. Agriturismo Annita far exceded our expectations. It was perfect from the moment we arrived to a fantastic clean apartment with an amazing little welcome package with amazing wine and olive oil (made by the owners), along with some amazing Italian goodies. Coffee, tea, bread, homemade jam, nutella, and few other things. The owners, Paola & Riccardo and their amazing son, Francesco, were the most welcoming. Always smiling, and very helpful. The apartment was tastefully decorated and the beds were quite comfortable. It had everything you need to cook a nice dinner. The pool was lovely. It wasn't warm at that time of the year, but warm enough we all went in for several swims. My husband and kids swam daily, I only managed once. We were also invited for cake and wine at Paola and Riccardo's which was a very nice evening with the other 4 guests. It's in a perfect spot for taking day trips. In our days there, we went to San Gimingano, Panzano, Siena, Firenze, Monterosso Al Mare and Pisa. While there, you must try the local restaurant, La Frattoria. There is so much to see and do, I think a week wasn't long enough. If you are wanting a true Toscana experience, this place is the best. Thank you again, Paola, Riccardo & Francesco for a unforgettable holiday! Steffany, Sean, Kaslo & Caoimhe

Summary: What a beautiful place! We loved our apartment – it’s a converted hay barn with three separate apartments, all with character. The beds were comfy, the appliances all fairly new – worked perfectly and very clean. We were given a fantastic welcome pack full of Italian goodies that really helped us out as we arrived late on Easter Sunday. La Logge has a big enough living area for spending time together indoors if it’s cooler / raining – bigger than the photo suggests, with a sofa too. The pool is lovely – freezing, but didn’t stop our kids going in every day, and it will be warming up in the sun! The location could not be better – it’s half an hour from everywhere you could want to go: Florence, Siena, the airport…. Lots of info in the apartment and from Paula about how to get everywhere – a sat nav also helps. Check out the Traffic Limitation Zones online (free wifi in the apartment) to avoid hefty fines in the tourist spots, but plenty of parking around and bus / tram system simple and cheap. The local town Tavernelle has a good pizzeria and gelateria and there is a coop for supplies. The BEST thing about this place is the family. They gave us such a warm welcome, booked restaurants for us, baked cakes and provided typical Tuscan food for us to try, even gave us a concert while we sampled their Nocila and Grappa (It’s a vineyard and olive farm – you can even buy eggs from Nonna’s chickens….) And of course, there is the Chianti…. We have stayed in lots of Top Rural villas and are always impressed by the standard of accommodation and this was among the best. We just loved it. Riccardo, Paula and Francesco – thank you so much: you made our holiday really special! Tony, Sarah, Maddy & Sam
