We are offering the downstairs section of our home. It is a fully equipped and furnished apartment rental. Less than 2 miles to Thayer Gate, the main entrance to the Academy, our apartment is the perfect spot for parents, friends, family members visiting their Cadet/Prepster or for those wishing to just visit historic West Point. Perfect close weekend getaway for Cadets. Incredible for all year visits to the scenic Hudson Valley area for nature enthusiasts, hikers, bikers, runners. Please continue reading below to find out about us and our objective in sharing our home with you! We live upstairs; so this rental is semi-private. Parking for two vehicles; no motor homes. In addition to the private 1 Bedroom area, the Living room has two couches that both pull out (1 is Queen; 1 is Double), and there is also a trundle bed (two twin beds) in the Back Room which doubles as the Dining area. Comfortably accommodates 6. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator, utensils, plates, cups, coffee makers (drip & Keurig). Unit is designed to reflect the history of the United States Military Academy and to honor those who have served! The main entrance to the Academy (Thayer Gate) is 2 miles from our location.
We welcome you to the beautiful Hudson Valley and we want you to relax in a home environment where you can spread out with your Cadet or Prepster and have a memorable, meaningful visit! You'll be able to cook that homemade meal that your cadet misses with fresh ingredients prepared just for him/her & perhaps a few of their friends! You can return your Cadet with ease, making every second count without the hassle of driving large distances between a hotel and the Academy. There is a tv with Roku so you can stream your choice of providers. Strong WiFi connection enabling Cadets to network a secure connection to do assignments. Wii gaming console is a fun activity. Seasonally, the pool with basketball hoops is a huge success, even for little swimmers as its only 4 ft deep. Cooking on the grill, and enjoying fireside chats at the fire pit is a favorite year round activity. Ben is an Associate Athletic Director at USMA; I am now retired and enjoying a few new adventures. Ben has lived at West Point for most of his life- his dad was a (R) MSGT stationed at West Point before he retired and set down roots in this area. We are committed to our community and feel so blessed to live by and work for USMA! You will have your own entrance to gain access to your rental.
