Negative: breakfast nothing special male on 6th floor, female on 4th floor I read before that it's a plce packed with introverts - true (can also be nice, depending on your spectrum)

Positive: The Seoul Cibe Jongro is a capsule-style hostel, which I prefer over regular bunk beds, because it gives you more privacy and dampens sounds and movements. When I was there, there were plenty of friendly people to talk to in English. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean everything was. The location is obviously great for accessing central Seoul. Breakfast was serve-yourself free. The internet was relatively fast. Note: There are a lot of instructoions given by message on Booking.com. Read them or you will make mistakes. Thankfully the host didn't get angry at me when I made mistakes. Overall: I recommend going if you can put up with snorers, which is the hostel experience.

Negative: There are a lot of people stuffed into a single room (on each of the 2 floors). Thankfully I somehow only got 1 snorer who I could almost drown out with headphones. A single set of earplugs are provided but if you've been in this scenario you'll know they're normally never enough. You had to pay for toothbrushes, razors, etc. I don't know whether that's standard for Korean hostels or not; they weren't charging a particularly high price. There is a very thin corridor to access lockers, where people have to squeeze by one at a time. But everyone was fairly accommodating about it. The small cramped kitchen has to be shared among a lot of people.

Positive: I think the common area was very lively and diverse. I also appreciated the convenient location of the hostel. The place provides a simple toast breakfast, which is a great present for those who wake up early. I had to do work during my visit and the Wifi situation was fairly appropriate.

Negative: There are lockers but they're not spacious. This place is definitely more agreeable to those with lighter luggage. The people working at the hostel are young and casual, perhaps travelers themselves, so you'd be silly to expect a professional service attitude :)

Positive: Seoul Cube Jongro is passable. The capsules are private enough and the bathrooms are spacious and regularly cleaned.

Negative: The hotel has a narrow layout and limited storage, so there are suitcases everywhere, blocking your way. The communal area is small and feels like student accommodation. You'd think Seoul was in the middle of a crime wave, because almost every surface has notices warning you that management WILL call the police if there's mischief. They've been burned, it seems.

Positive: I had such a great stay at this hostel! The staff were super friendly and always willing to help, which made me feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had a really nice vibe for meeting other travelers. The location is also perfect — close to public transportation, restaurants, and local attractions. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area!

Positive: I loved how everyone was quite at night, so you could actually sleep really well. apart from that the mattress is really comfortable. bathrooms are also clean. staff is nice as well. the capsules are quite spacious I would say.

Negative: the AC was a bit too strong in the bed area, so I was quite cold at night. I also think there is not enough showers/toilets for so many beds on the floor - in the evening once everyone comes back from visiting it might get crowded but if you wait until late night then it’s fine. I would have also preferred if there was a carpet in your capsule instead of tiles - I appreciate it’s much easier to clean but it just makes it even colder with AC (also less cozy).

Summary: overall, great option for solo travellers!
