Family and pet friendly and only 2.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area, this is a beautiful 4 bed/ 2 bath home, that can comfortably sleep up to ten people. In addition to the 4 inviting bedrooms that sleep 8, the primary bedroom has a twin daybed ideal for a child. The front living room has a Queen sofa bed and there is a Queen air mattress for additional sleeping in the office. If you need more space, there is also a studio above the garage with a queen bed, full bath and kitchen that can be added for $100/night.
A great location for family gatherings, the large chef kitchen has everything you need. It features two convection ovens and range top with plenty of room to make a family meal. The dining room features a large, handsome custom wood table. There are two living rooms with plenty of space for games, reading or conversations. There is one Smart TV and a wood burning fire place in the back living room.
The property is located on 1 acre in the woods with a beautiful deck that extends the entire front of the house. The front deck features a gas fire pit table, grill, swing and decorative lighting for a festive atmosphere. The backyard features a 14' enclosed trampoline, hammock, and pergola, with deer and grey foxes visiting daily. There is ample parking in the circular paved lot in front of the garage. There are exterior security cameras that will be disarmed during your stay.
It is only 15-20 mins away from the historic gold country towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City which feature modern restaurants, antique shops, festivals and newly renovated performing arts theatres. The closest airports are Sacramento, 1 hour away, and Reno, 1.75 hr away. If skiing is your preference, the Donner Lake resorts can be reached in 60 minutes for a day trip. Staying here will feel like Tahoe without the Tahoe prices and crowds.
