Summary: Fantastic concept but lacks quality cooking items, a fridge way below capacity for the amount of guests that can be accommodated, no Wifi and lacks not having an 80 inch tv in the dining area to cater for sporting groups or large family gatherings etc. A beautiful place with an amazing view of the lake.

Summary: Loved this property it was really lovely and the wood fire which had warmed the house throughout was so welcoming. We had a variety of school age students n having them all under one roof was great. The kitchen was a good size for 20 odd people and bedrooms were a good size and well ventilated. I suggest you get a few more living room chairs in the lounge space so more people can sit comfortably in the living room without having to sit at table. Beautiful, peaceful setting with a lovely sunset. Thank you whanau the hosts were cheerful, kind and helpful. We loved this property and definitely recommend this place to large groups visiting anywhere near Whakatane, Mahina Dam, Murupara.

Summary: As a family we had a fantastic time and the property is well set up for a large family group. I did however feel like we weren’t expected that day. Firstly we were greeted by someone who certainly wasn’t expecting us and were sent back to the office. Nadine was much more welcoming however. The water wasn’t on and it took a wee while for that to be remedied. Again Nadine did her best to sort it. We also felt that 10 minutes with the leaf blower on the concrete area and a lawn mower would have made everything look a lot more loved. Aware that it is Autumn but there were pretty much no leaves left on the offending trees, so a quick tidy up wouldn’t have taken much. Just a little bit lacking in general maintenance. But apart from those comments which I only make to be constructive for future, it was a terrific place to stay for our family get together and wouldn’t hesitate to return and recommend to others.
