Positive: Location, views, comfy beds and games room.
Negative: The kitchen was not clean on arrival. Photo evidence. We had no power in the lounge and games room plus the fridge and wine fridge both of which smelt. After receiving a text about a week earlier from the housekeeper saying please don’t hesitate to ask questions I messaged her and the response was “sorry I’m on holiday, contact the owner”. This we did a few times and have still had no response. Eventually after further messages asking to know where the fuse box might be, the housekeeper answered giving us a couple of options. We then managed to sort it. But the fridge took a while to get cold. Tbh, In a place such as this a welcome pack would have been expected. Better detailed information about kitchen equipment would have also been useful. Hairdryers weren’t in each room as had been said in the information. We were all getting ready for a wedding so were disappointed and had to go and purchase one.
Summary: We had a lovely wedding and relaxed in the house on thf Sunday which was very nice.

Positive: Location fantastic. The size and comfort of the house and the outside space were perfect for a large group such as ours. The pool table was very popular and the children loved the playroom. The bedrooms were great and there were plenty of bathrooms.
Negative: The kitchen space is relatively small and it took some time to work out how some of the appliances worked, particularly the ovens. The track down to the house has many deep potholes and takes time and effort to negotiate. At one point, right uin the middle of cooking Sunday lunch, the fuse for the main oven tripped and we could not locate the fuse box. We could find nothing in the information pack to help us find it. Fortunately, the only neighbour was at home and able to call the owner who revealed that it was situated behind the coat rack in the hall.
Summary: The eleven of us had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and the house played a significant part in that.
