Summary: It’s a great hotel and located fairly close to the HK border which makes it easily accessable if you are coming by train from HK. I guess the hotel has been built some time ago and is slightly dated. Also it would be great if the hotel can be connected to the underpass and especially when it rains it is hard to get across to the railway station

Summary: We spent a wonderful family weekend here, renting two rooms. Location is incredibly convenient! Rooms and lobby are spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurants served delicious food, especially the authentic Cantonese dim sum - a highlight!

Summary: Very old, decayed, everything is outdated. Staff hardly speak English so my friend got charged 48rmb for a coffee when he showed he only had a 20rmb banknote. Maria duty manager cancelled the bill. Thank you for that. But this is the worst Shangri La ever seen. Seems frozen in 1985. Even room key must be inserted, in the elevator, in the room door. I could write for hours how disappointing was this experience but it is useless. There are plenty of new and fully modern hotel around. The location is the closest to Luohu port but that’s the only advantage. Should be completely modernized from A to Z or it will just deteriorate Shangri La brand. I have to mention that I had a cheap price though, 560rmb. Still better deal are easy to find for a higher quality in the neighborhood

Summary: The stay was fine, the lobby is great, open and clean. However, the inside of the hotel is way out dated. I must say it must be the worst Shang-ri-la in the globe, worse than the one in Beijing. Of course you get what you paid for, $88 a night is acceptable alternative. I vote a good value.
