5 Bedroom House in La Pointe

Welcome to Shangri Lodge, a five bedroom, five bath Madeline Island family retreat situated on 7 acres with Lake Superior access across Big Bay Road.The home has a lodge feeling with exposed logs; and, a wood burning fireplace in the living room. Shangri Lodge features a spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a professional Wolfe stove with six burners and griddle. The kitchen opens to the living room and dining room with a raised dining room table. A game room with wet bar and pool table that converts to a ping pong table is also located on the first level. You will find modern amenities at Shangri Lodge including cable TV, WIFI, Surround Sound System in the living room and a washer & dryer.
Shangri Lodge boasts five bedrooms and five baths perfect for a family retreat or three to four couples. Four of the bedrooms are located on the second level with the fifth on the main level just off the game room. The bedrooms on the second level all have decks.

Summary: Fantastic accommodations at my favorite place on earth. Madeline Island is the best and staying at the Shangri-Lodge was perfect for us. The kitchen is killer! We loved having a Pool / Ping-Pong setup and a beautiful fireplace to keep us warm. The wood was already cut and stacked! Each of the four couples had a room plus one extra for the loud snorers to retreat to. Guitars were played, karaoke songs were sung. It was a magical weekend. Would stay there again in a second!

Summary: The house and location are beautiful! Perfect house for a family or several, each bedroom has it’s own bathroom. Fun pool table/ping pong area. The beach is right across the road and at night it’s so secluded that you can actually see the galaxy!

Summary: The house was ideal for our large group. It's large and comfortable; great mattresses, clean bathrooms, and best of all a well equipped kitchen. We loved the fireplace and appreciated the supply of firewood. Everything worked well. We are ready to book again for next year.

Summary: Great house with 5 wonderful bedrooms/each with its own bathroom. Kitchen can accommodate any gourmet chef which we took full advantage of. Steps from a wonderful beach where we paddle boarded, swam, and had amazing campfire in the sand. Decks on each side of house for every bedroom, one of the great places to have morning coffee. Screened in porch with good grill. Great family vacation!!!

Summary: Shangi-lodge has been a blessing for our annual family gathering. For young children and adults alike, there is always a new adventure to explore. We love the outdoor opportunities that Madeline Island provides. The lodge allows us time for rest and family meals together. Great space for large family to gather, cook, play, relax, etc. Love having access to the beach.
