Welcome to this unique 117 acres property with private hiking trails and lake. 5 bedrooms, 4 and 2 half bathrooms accommodation, maximumly can afford 16 people.
This home is a short 15-minute drive to downtown Bloomington, and a 10-minute drive to Indiana University and I-69, offering the best of town and country living and 45 mins drive to Indianapolis Airport.
Perfect place for Hoosiers’ homecoming and reunion events.
Note: The person making the reservation must be 25 years old or older.
Taking 10 minutes hiking trail through private woods, you can reach Shing Monastery. Fully relax yourself.
The space
The cozy living room is setup with a comfortable couch for you to relax and a 50" TV with Netflix access where you can watch your favorite movies after the long sightseeing and working.
The master bedroom has a comfortable king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. Two bedrooms located on the second floor has a queen-sized beds each. Two full-sized beds are in another bedroom and a queen-sized bed is in the basement bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There's also a sofa bed available in the office and basement living room. There is second laundry room and a kitchenette in basement.
There's a kitchen that is fully equipped with everything you need and a dining area to make your favorite meal.
You don't have to worry because guests will be provided with sets of sheets, linens, duvets for all beds as well as extra towels and a washer & a dryer!
High-speed Wifi, a gym, a boat and 30 free parking spots (3 in the garage and the rest are all outdoor) are all provided during your stay!

Summary: We had our family stay at this property and were a sizable group. This place was awesome! Our kids loved the house and size of it, the outdoors was perfect for them to swim and play. I’d recommend taking tubes, like we did, it helps prolong the water fun! Fishing was fun too! There are two charcoal grills, plenty of seating, an amazing couch! We’ll be making this place our get away spot in the future!

Summary: This is our second year at the property and it is even better this year. Really, a 150 acre wooded property with a small 8 acre swimmable lake with a paddle bowl and good fishing. The house is huge and has ample space and beds for 14 although they only advertise for 10. Many special area, player baby grand piano, working electronics, and large kitchen make for a special family gathering, We had none of the issues with bugs or mice that other reviewers note — it’s a rural location but the owners have addressed any issues.

Summary: We had a wonderful time at the Lakehouse. It was secluded with beautiful scenery. I was worried about the previous comments re mice but there was no evidence at all! It was easy to pick up supplies and Bloomington is a lovely town.

Summary: We nicknamed the house “the Mansion”. We loved staying all together there with two little ones. We never used the formal dining room or red lounge room. When indoors, we spent most of our time in the kitchen/ family room. We enjoyed the pond. The boys enjoyed the bikes on a couple of trails. We tried the trails. They aren’t great for hiking the property, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. We would recommend this place.

Summary: We spent a long weekend there with our adult children and grandchildren. It is very private but close to a grocery store, restaurants and shopping. The fishing was great. Everyone enjoyed the paddle boat.

Summary: This property was remarkable! We had a small wedding ceremony on-site and it was ideal. The home has plenty of room to spread out and there is plenty of yard for an outdoor event. Kids enjoyed fishing and swimming in the lake. Proximity to campus was also great. I’d stay again!!

Summary: This house and property was everything we could have imagined for our daughter’s wedding. She wanted a small outdoor wedding where family and friends could also stay for the long weekend, and this house was it. The house was big enough for everyone and then some. There was plenty of supplies too. The lake was beautiful, as was the setting of the house. The landscaping was a little rough, but the yard was nicely mowed. I would definitely recommend to others!

Summary: The spacious home and beautiful property was perfect for 12 friends to enjoy 4 nights and 5 days together. The home was well stocked, enough bathrooms for 12 gals, a host who quickly responded to any questions, enough seating for games and meals, large bedrooms. Would highly recommend.

Summary: The location is great and the space is large. You are secluded from all of your neighbors, and there is plenty of space for 12+ people. The kitchen was well stocked. If you have anything specific (like a large stock pot) you'll want to bring that. Photos are from a real estate listing and amenities & furniture are different (no gym/peloton). An interior window pane was broken before we arrived but the exterior pane was intact. The big problem was the cleanliness. On its surface it was clear the kitchen and bathrooms had been cleaned after the last guests, however one of the beds was never cleaned (the cleaning crew must have missed it). There was still makeup smudged on a pillowcase and the sheets were clearly never washed. The worst part of the stay was that there was an obvious mouse problem. Toilet paper sitting near the ground had been chewed, and there was a lot of mouse poop. One bed had lots of mouse poop in it and needed to be completely washed. There was also mouse poop on couches and on the floor around the kitchen. Our group isn't particularly squeamish on stuff like this, but it was a significant problem. We guess they did have a cleaning crew come through after the previous guest, but enough time passed and no one came through to clean it again right before our visit. Having mice is a problem that needs solved but having mouse poop everywhere at arrival is unacceptable. The host was responsive and did refund a portion of our stay at our request.

Summary: This home is stunning with over 5000 square feet. It is nestled in the woods away from neighbors. It has a beautiful big pond you may fish in or use the owners paddle boat. Each of the 5 bedrooms has an adjoining bathroom. The beds were clean and comfortable. There were plenty of towels and linen. The kitchen is well equipped however not much space in the refrigerator for a large group of people. We had to rewash pots and pans before using them due to greasy residue left on them. The refrigerator was very dirty and had leftover food in it. As we departed, we threw away all the leftover foods left by other renters. The large bathtub in the master on the main floor did not hold water therefore it was useless. The house keeping needs to improve. The floors look as if they have not been swept or mopped in a long time. There was a lot of hair on the floor in the bathrooms. Several lightbulbs were burned out throughout the house. The landscaping needs attention. We could not locate the remote control for the garage doors. The 3-car garage was nice. The tires on all the bicycles were flat and the fishing poles broken. The property manager notified us to make sure all trash was in the dumpster as trash day was Thursday. That being thanksgiving we didn’t figure it would be picked up until Friday. As of checkout Sunday it still had not been picked up. Although the house was not up to my standards for cleanliness, the overall stay was very pleasant.
