Shunda Creek Place is a mountain home set into a forested area 5 minutes from Nordegg, Alberta. The amazing location is private, located at the base of Coliseum Mountain. This 5 star VBRO home is ideally suited to multi-generational families, or an excellent setting for friends or business people needing a retreat from busy lives.
The four bedroom home is well appointed with 2 luxurious bathrooms and a 2-piece off the kitchen. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a Bosch gas countertop, top of the line oven and refrigerator and dishwasher. Decks facing all directions let you take in the sun or shade - all with comfortable lawn furniture. After you've been hiking all day - you can relax around the fire pit. There is nothing this home lacks for you to wind down with family or friends.
Some of Alberta’s best hiking and sledding trails are found in Nordegg, from novice to experienced. The best trails in the area lead out of the property and go for miles (make sure to pack lunch!).
Is fishing your passion? Trout, bass, perch and pike are found in the surrounding rivers, ponds and lakes. Do you like mountain biking? There are great trails in and around the property.

Summary: Was a great place to stay for the 8 of us. 4 adults, and 4 teen boys and everyone had space to hang, or do their own things. As a group we love to hike, swim, cook & mix up fun mocktails and the house worked great for all of these things!

Summary: We had a group of 7 stay for a long weekend at this property. Communication with our host was great prior to our stay & check-in was seamless. The property is comfy, spacious & a short walk away from Coliseum Mountain Trail. There is only one tv, which offers streaming services, in the main living space, so if you have a family or group who likes watching different shows/sports, you’ll want to make sure you bring an extra screen/device. Also, if you don’t regularly use streaming services, you’ll want to find out what you need (and possibly get accounts) so you’re ready! We used the TSN app for football and CBC Gem for hockey. Some of the ladies found the house a little bit cold. We were able to use the wood burning fireplace (so cozy with a great cash of wood), which warmed up the main space quickly, but you’ll want to pack a sweater and some slippers if you tend to run cold. There’s a hot tub on the back deck, but it wasn’t available at time of booking, so be sure to confirm whether it is available to guests or not if you’re looking for that. This is a beautiful, well maintained home with a well stocked kitchen and lots of little extras that came in super handy. We had a great stay and will definitely consider this home for the future!

Summary: Beautiful property with privacy and loads of pathways and trails to explore. Nordegg and sounds lake just minutes away. Great place to stay with two families and bedrooms and bathrooms are laid out down and upstairs for everyone to have their own space. Property was immaculate with everything we needed.
