Positive: The house was lovely, as well as the view to the river. The room was a bit small but uniquely spectacular! Yakie and the other staff at the hotel were incredibly attentive and helpful.
Negative: The location was convenient, as it was very close to the metro, but the neighbourhood wasn’t particularly nice.

Positive: This is one of the most amazing place, we have ever been. It is situated in a really local area right next to one Buddhist temple. The hotel is amazing and relaxing with delicious breakfast and amazing staff. It is nice to see some local area rather than the skyscrapers on the other side of the river of Bangkok. We enjoyed to stay here and we recommend to everybody.
Negative: Sometimes there were noisy boats on the canal in the morning.

Positive: This is a true retreat from the amazing madness we all love in Bangkok. You will have a truly Thai breakfast and experience cozy and extra clean rooms. The coffee area is beautiful, and little lizards come to greet you by the water. Not to mention the cute kittens around completing the atmosphere of a true home. Yakie, the owner and manager, is kind, chill, and has all the good hints for you. She's a gem just like her boutique hotel. I will always come back ❤️

Positive: The breakfast and ambience of the property is really lovely. Breakfast was the best we’ve ever had in a hotel! The rooms have a unique character and charm.
Negative: The room we had was very loud in the nights which made sleep difficult. The bathroom door was folding and heavy, making it hard to close which isn’t ideal. The staff were pleasant but would not give any local recommendations within walking distance, even when specifically asked.
Summary: Beautiful looks but a falling a little short elsewhere

Positive: 📍Location: I think it is actually very refreshing to be away from the chaos of Bangkok city life, particularly at night time- I slept so well! Fan and air conditioning definitely helped! Close proximity to metro and could use grab app for everything not in reach of metro. 🛌 Bed: my room was lovely- it’s definitely suited to a solo traveller as there is nothing but a curtain between bed and toilet !! The balcony was nice for sitting, maybe a small chair or cushion would be a good addition? 🍽️ Breakfast: delicious and delivered with care and precision, lovely to enjoy delicious Thai flavours with the accompanying canal bank view. 🌟 Staff: Yakie and the other staff were very pleasant and welcoming, it was a really enjoyable stay. She gave great recommendations on transport and timings for my itinerary. 🐱 Cats!! These cats are the sweetest! I hope they know how loved and appreciated they are 😍
Negative: Alleyway to enter is a little tricky when arriving for first time! I tried to explain to taxi driver the instructions Yakie provided but there was a language barrier and he was going to just drive me away until a local kindly helped !! This is not a criticism of the property itself or the staff, moreso the logistics of getting to it for the first time as a foreign traveller!

Positive: The Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel offers an ideal location in the heart of the city, particularly for those interested in shopping. It is conveniently close to major malls like CentralWorld and Siam Paragon and steps away from the BTS Skytrain. However, I opted to take a taxi (used Grab) to get around the city, which was convenient for reaching other attractions. The room was generously sized and beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable. There is also a swimming pool, which I didn't use, but it looked nice. The spa was expensive, and the massage didn't meet my expectations. But I still recommend it as it is clean and convenient.
Negative: Unfortunately, my experience with the hotel's restaurants, including the breakfast, was far from satisfactory. Most waiters and waitresses were extremely rude, displaying aggressive and sarcastic behavior. Their mean-spirited attitude made dining there unpleasant, and I was very disappointed with the service. If possible, I would recommend avoiding the hotel’s restaurants altogether. Also, the loud music from the hotel’s restaurant can be bothersome at night. Outside the hotel, the area is very noisy, with heavy traffic and significant air pollution. Overall, while the hotel offers comfort and convenience, the poor restaurant service, and the loud, polluted surroundings significantly detract from the overall experience.
