June, July and August we book weekly Sunday to Sunday, with extended checkouts for memorial day and labor day. Off season weekends are a 2 night minimum stay. 8 adults, 4 kids max. We do not start booking for Memorial Day to Labor Day of the following year until Labor Day of the current year as this year's summer renters have an option up until Labor Day to renew for their same week next year. All reservations are not final until personally confirmed by us. Please use the "ask the owner" button to request our weekly rental agreement, you must review this prior to reserving. Agreed upon rent rates will also be confirmed prior to reserving and may differ from what VRBO calculates. If you have questions prior to booking please ask!
Location, location, location - remodeled and updated contemporary 2 bed 2 bath beach house plus studio apartment at the entrance of Silver Beach on Lake Michigan in St. Joseph Michigan. Next to the Silver Beach carousel / Curious Kids Discovery Zone museum, Silver Beach Amusement Park museum and Shadowland on Silver Beach pavillion (receptions/meetings). We are approximately 1.5 miles from the Harbor Shores golf course across the river in Benton Harbor. Directly across the street from the Whirlpool Compass Fountain and splash pad. There is so much to see and do below and above the bluff, and this house puts you in the middle of it all. Check in is 4pm on these dates and check out is 11 am. Parking for 4 cars on the premises.
Easy walk to downtown St. Joseph and steps from the Amtrak train station with daily runs to Chicago. So much to do in the immediate area, shopping, eating, playing, walking down the beach or taking a stroll down the pier.
Main house has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, updated kitchen with granite countertops, full suite of appliances, living room with lots of windows and 2nd floor sitting area, several decks all with incredible Lake Michigan and amenity views. The is also a MIL suite /studio above garage.
Sleeping arrangements include a main level master bedroom (king), 2nd bedroom is the perfect bunkroom for kids (2 queens and a set of bunk beds), and 2 queen beds in the guest studio.
House has recently been updated with quality furnishings throughout to provide up-to-date comfort. Picnic table, deck chairs and grill (gas) are provided for making the most of your outdoor experience.

Summary: Beautiful home with lots of room and a fantastic location. Steps away from Silver Beach Pizza, the Carousel, and the beach itself. The carriage house is perfect for large families. The owner Dayna was very responsive and easy to do business with. The only comment I’d have is that the photos on VRBO don’t do it justice, and the place has had many recent updates and is gorgeous. We definitely want to come back.

Summary: We throughly enjoyed our stay at the silver beach beach house. The location is perfect. It’s within walking distance to downtown, silver beach pizza and the beach. It’s a short 14 min drive to Meijer for anything you may need. It’s right next door to the shadowland carousel. We stayed at the house with family for our wedding weekend. We were married at the dunes pavilion, just a short walk away. And had the reception at Shadowland. It was so convenient to be able to run back and forth, especially with children. The house had plenty of room for the 8 of us. It would have been nice to have more accurate pictures of the layout of the house so we could have planned our sleeping arrangements better. Also just a heads up that the TV’s in the house are rather old. The TV in the main bedroom has cable. We brought our own smart tv so the kids could use their gaming systems. But for the most part it wasn’t an issue. The house had everything we could have needed and we were really happy with our stay! We hope to be back really soon!

Summary: Perfect location for walking to the beach, playground, Carousal, pizza & bar and up the bluff to town. Lots of room in the house with everything you need. The studio apartment above the garage was perfect for me with my daughter and her family in the main house. Can’t wait to go back!!

Summary: This home was an easy walk to town and to the beach, had plenty of room (bedrooms, beds & bathrooms) for all 10 of us, and had ample (and comfortable) seating in gathering areas as well. The kitchen was well appointed, though we didn't use it much. Very delightful!

Summary: Amazing house and great location. My only comment is that I wish there had been more photos in the ad of how the bedrooms were laid out and locations, so we could have planned sleeping arrangements better. We used the living room for the first look and it was phenomenal <3 Would definitely stay again.

Summary: This house is great for a large group of family and/or friends to gather. Sleeps a lot. Great location to the beach and easy walk to town and the Pizza Depot for a good inexpensive meal. It was a little worn, tattered linens, broken blinds, incidentals that were suppose to be there were not. The tile floors were sticky and not clean. Tells me a dirty mop. Overall, satisfied.

Summary: We absolutely loved this house! There was plenty of room for everyone between the king size master, the beds upstairs and the space above the garage. The location can’t be beat! You can go downtown, to the splash pad, or the beach by basically stepping right out the door. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic and cars going to the beach, which didn’t mind us. The only thing is that getting out of the driveway can be a little tricky depending on the beach traffic. We only used our cars twice during our trip, since you can literally walk to anything you need! We cannot wait to visit this beautiful home again!
