Positive: I visited with my children and It's a lovely spot, the views are amazing from all directions. Great for unwinding. The cabins are spacious and clean, plenty of blankets provided and I checked all the linen, the pillows and blankets are nice and clean no stains etc, the kitchen has everything you need, cooking utensils, pots, fry pans etc etc. You need to boil the water for drinking as it's from a spring so maybe buy some bottled water to bring. The only thing I would say is if your with another provider other than Telstra you probably won't have any cell reception like I did which sucked but then again the whole point of going was to get away from the stress of daily life so perhaps it was a good thing. Sheffield which is the closest town it's only a ten min drive though you will pick up reception there so all's good, O and speaking of Sheffield there's this man who walks around a pet Lama and will let you take pics with the kids, I even noticed there's a mural of him in town, the kids loved that, thought it was so cool that you could have a Lama as a pet. Bring some DVD's and board games or something for the kids to keep them occupied whilst inside as the selection is very outdated but look the staff were very friendly and helpful, there's a heated indoor pool, bring some pool toys etc, there are non provided, pool area is very clean there are toilets and hot showers but no heaters so keep that in mind. Lots of animal's around and lots of places to walk you can even feed the animal's which the kids loved, the owners are very friendly and helpful which is really nice. They made sure the cabin was nice and warm for us when we arrived and were very helpful,lent us flashlights to spot animals in the dark. will definately visit again soon.
Negative: The smell coming from the bathroom we had to keep the bathroom door shut and it was very unpleasant when brushing your teeth etc,.it smelled of sewerage so I'm guessing there was an issue with the septic tank maybe.

Positive: Beautifully appointed with Mt Roland in its glory behind us. Our cabin was clean , modern and warm given the cold overnight temperatures . Centrally located to Gowrie Park, and Sheffield. The whole property is excellently maintained with a fabulous coveted in heated swimming pool.

Positive: There is no word describing how nice was our stay. The cabin is big, really comfy with everything needed for a cosy stay. The bubble bath with the view over the mountain is unbeatable. Same with the big window from the room over Mt Roland ! The property is huge and really peaceful to walk around. On top of that John's, the owner, was so nice, full of knowledge about the flore and fauna. He gave us the perfect honeymoon gift by recommending us the Tasmanian Arboretum on our very last day before leaving so we could see some platypuses. Which we did ! It was amazing, thanks again for everything
