Summary: We loved staying in the house. It was incredibly attractive and comfortable in every way, and Gianni made sure that it was very well equipped. Really, there were no down sides at all--everything is well explained and well situated. For anyone needing a stay in Pordenone, this house will serve extremely well. Thank you again, Gianni, for making us feel so welcome, and for making our stay in your lovely home so memorable and enjoyable. Grazie!

Summary: This is a beautiful home that is extremely clean and well maintained. Gianni was so helpful and easy to contact. He had everything ready for us including cold bottles of water and a charged cell phone for our use. The house is fully equipped with anything that you will need for your stay. We used it as our home base to explore the Friuli area which is beautiful. Thanks Gianni for a great home.

Summary: This home was perfect for my family of five. Everything was as described. The home was very clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied, and the climate control system was very nice. An added bonus were the bicycles that Gianni made available to us. We rode them into town three or four times during our six night stay. It was a great way to see the town and experience the sights and sounds of Pordenone. By car the town square is 5 minutes away (to the west), and a nice indoor shopping mall is 10 minutes away (to the east). There is a McDonalds right next to the mall. There is a large grocery store in the mall that's very much like a Wal-Mart Super Center. I was delighted at the selection and the prices. Great store and we found everything we needed and more. There are a number of Gelato (Italian Ice Cream) stores on or near the town square. Amazing ice cream!!! Single scoop cones are around 1 euro!! I highly recommend Lemone. Mmmmmmmmm. There is also a nice public library on the north side of the square. Venice is about an hour's drive to the southwest. The Dolomite Mountains are less than an hour to the northwest. We drove into the mountains and went on a 5-6 mile hike. We stopped at a cafe on the way to enjoy coffee and a couple hamburgers. There is a fantastic bakery next to the church in Domegge di Cadore. From the bakery, travel down the hill toward the river, take a left, go across the river, follow the road along the river, then take a right onto a narrow road that climbs the mountian to the trail head. The trail was well marked and the scenery was simply amazing! I had a hard time keeping my eyes on the road. Just Google Dolomite Mountains and you will quickly see what I mean. Wow, that was a great day trip! Gianni has provided lots of literature and guides in the rent house about area attractions that include information about Venice and the Dolomites. I highly recommend this property. It's perfectly located, and it's a great way to get a taste of North East Italy, it's beautiful coast, it's incredible mountains, and it's warm and friendly people. Thanks again Gianni!

Summary: We greatly enjoyed our stay in this immaculate and well setup house. The marble floors and wood trim throughout were very nice. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. The house felt much larger than we expected from the website photos. Having the extra space of a full house while on vacation was wonderful. Gianni has setup very helpful documentation of the area and the house. He also answered any questions we had during our stay. We used a car to visit nearby towns and to drive to the train station to see Trieste and Venice.

Summary: This delightful house, spotlessy clean and well-maintained, was exactly as described and pictured. I agree with previous reviews about the home and the helpful and welcoming owner Gianni. We traveled to Pordenone for an international soccer tournament. After the tournament, we traveled to Venice by train. The train station in Pordenone is very close to the home. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time in Italy.

Summary: I would have to mirror the previous reviews that the house was impeccable and overly well-stocked. Our hosts definitely had the desire to make sure you were comfortable and oriented to your location and surrounding attractions. The home/town is centrally located where endpoints of interest are within a 1 1/2 hour drive, making day trips from the mountains, to the ocean, or to other countries not only possible but very doable. Hanging out in Pordenone is also an option. It is a real town with real people. Morning markets on Wednesday and Saturdays mornings near the library allow for fun veggie and fruit purchases. You might even try sitting in the town square, also close to the library, in the late afternoon watching the locales do what locals do. All in all, the house, our hosts, and the location lent itself to a very positive experience. Italy is not a small country and needs to have it's regions explored individually. Trying to take in the entire country in a week will not do it justice. To say you've been to Italy because you spent a few days in Rome, Florence, and Venice will not give you a complete picture. Get off the highway and explore. That will give you a better sense of place.

Summary: My family spent an enjoyable week in the house while we attended a conference in Pordenone. The owner met us at the train station and drove us to the house which was well-stocked with everything we could possibly want. He even provided bicycles which made it an easy 12 minute ride to the center of town. I suppose most people would have a car and use the house as a base for exploring the region around Venice, but for us it was convenient to spend a few days in Venice before taking the train to Pordenone. A large grocery store is a 4 minute walk away. We had breakfast at the house each day and usually ate lunch and dinner in town at restaurants. (Pordenone has many good ones.) What more can I say? The house was very clean, the clothes washing machine worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet. When it was time to leave, the owner checked us out and drove us downtown where we took a bus to Marco Polo Airport (VCE). We are planning to stay there again for next year's conference.

Summary: We had a great time in this house in Pordenone. Lovely house, clean and well maintained and good welcome by the owner, exceedingly well equipped and provisioned. Pordenone an interesting place and we found great places to eat. Also a good centre for excursions, Venice, the Adriatic coast, Italian Alps among others. We had our car with us, I think it would be more difficult without though there were many local buses. I would love to think we would return sometime.
