A high-end luxury home designed by Dungan Nequette in Birmingham, this home is the perfect size and layout for family gatherings with several entertainment/sitting areas and a large kitchen. Relax on the screened-in porch overlooking a large grass backyard and Lake Carillon. Conveniently located to the beach (a 3–4-minute walk), swimming pools, tennis, pickle, and basketball courts, and playground, Sittin’ Purdy is also adjacent to The Meeting House, Downtown Carillon and the Village Green.

Summary: Great house for a set of grandparents with three grown kids with families totaling 7 grandkids. The owners furnish everything including two pack and plays, 4 beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, even a couple cool ladies beach hats. Back yard was perfect for smaller kids to play whiffle ball, badminton, etc. Exactly 310 steps to the beach and the pool. Already booked next years stay for the same week. Great view across the lake as well.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is excellent for large groups and in very good shape. This was our second time at SP and 8th time at CB. We really enjoy the yard for soccer, badminton, goofing around. We also like being close to the shops for ice cream, pizza etc. The beach is a close walk and the SP chairs are directly in front of the stairs (very nice). Minor issues: -there is some sort of generator in between the house and the Meeting House that runs 24/7. You can't hear it in the house but it's a low level hum outside. -we could not get the TVs in the bedrooms to connect to the internet. The management company said they were sending someone out to take a look but that did not happen. Neither of these things was a big deal and we would 100% stay here again. It's a great house.

Stunning beautiful and large enough for our bridal party! The hosts were great and everything went perfectly!

Summary: So nice to have a house big enough for 14 last year and 16 this year. Very comfortable, cheery spaces, and additional helpful amenities like towels and beach gear. Perfect with few exceptions; back door lock failed during stay but had helpful phone assistance; could have used another refrigerator; porch fans had one speed, slow; sprinklers ran every evening leaving backyard unusable at end of the day and bushes blocked lake view; sofa sleeper mattress very uncomfortable, its sheets were hidden; can’t read microwave, display not bright. None of these would keep us away next time. We had an enjoyable trip.
