Positive: Excellent breakfast. Nice environment.

Negative: Service at Chinese restaurant was very slow, definitely short handed. We waited for almost 45 mins for our first dish. We had 2 single beds, the beds are too small and we are small frame Asian. Suggest you change the bed to super single since the room is so spacious. The Taichi space in spa area is not open at 7am, should open up the space for people to do their morning practice.

Summary: Overall ok but for the price we paid, it falls short of our expectations.

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at Six Senses Qing Chen Mountain. Special thanks must go to Himmel who was a thoughtful experience manager, always ready to help with anything we needed at the resort, and a knowledgeable tour guide to the panda sanctuary and Qing Chen Mountain. The resort was fairly quiet at this time of year, which meant no queues for the well positioned spa which had lots of wellness options including sound bath. All staff were exceptionally helpful and polite and the food selection - especially the huge breakfast buffet and the Thai restaurant - was excellent.

Negative: The resort is under renovation to update some tired areas. The hot water is slow to come in but plentiful once it does. The resort could do a better job of alerting guests to special events e.g. the free happy hour entertainment.

Positive: The whole place is a resort, so you could easily stay on site the entire time, with spa and a cute little village like area (with various restaurants). Clean, well taken care of, and overall good service. Rooms were big

Negative: Staying in the winter is tough. Whole area is cold, and a lot of the resort is outdoors. Water was also never hot, so showers were lukewarm. Staff didn't fully solve this problem - i think the water is just not hot It is isolated, and getting out is not the easiest (unless you can call a Didi). So that leaves staying on site - there are really only 2 restaurants and opening times are odd, which doesn't leave a lot of food options. Staying in the summer is probably better as you can hang out by the pool Also, this is missing a little bit of "luxury" that one would expect from Six Senses. I get they are going for an eco-vibe, but there is a fine line before it starts feeling cheap. Furniture had what looked like "outdoor" cushions. Bathrooms undecorated and sterile. To flag, i am an American, I've stayed at western luxury and ones in China catered to locals. I can say that this place is not to those level You really also need to speak Chinese. This part of the country is tough to navigate without some knowledge of Chinese.

Positive: Beautiful property with well-appointed villas. The peaceful, relaxing environment surrounded by nature—and the well-maintained greenery—made the stay wonderful. The golden ginkgo leaves added an extra touch of beauty. Thoughtful service and experience with personal host Maricel to take care of arrangements. Vanilla who brought us out to the Wolong panda conservation provided thoughtful and enjoyable outing. Free ice cream and nice tea tasting experience. Thank you to the Six senses team.

Positive: The location is unbeatable, right at the foot of the mountain, which is a great relief once you’ve hiked up and down it! It was wonderful being able to see the mountain from the resort and relax in the spacious room after.

Negative: I would say the resort was very focused on families, and didn’t really have a sophisticated wellness resort atmosphere you might expect from a Six Senses. The rooms were impeccably kept, but certain aspects like the bathrooms (and the hot water temperature!) need updating in line with the brand’s reputation.
