Positive: The room was partially remodeled

Negative: The vent/light in the shower fell down on me. There was no one at the front desk when we checked out so I didn't tell anyone.

Positive: Rooms were clean, staff was polite, and trash was cleaned and towels changed after one night.

Negative: The gym was small, and a guest was just hanging out in there instead of working out so I did not feel comfortable using the gym anyway. Also the bathroom was very tiny and water always leaked out of shower so the floor was all wet after a shower. The price was too much for the amenities and space!

Positive: I like that you offer breakfast. I like the location because it is so close to GV campus. The rooms are fine. Expectations were low and I have stayed here in the past so I knew what i was getting into.

Negative: The common areas like the elevator and the lobby were grimy. Floors dirty. Wall signage ripped and falling off. There is a weird pool that makes the whole first floor smell like chlorine. Clearly they were in the process of replacing some carpets and the hallways all smelled like off gassing carpet chemicals.

Summary: Literally one night to see our college kid.

Positive: Facility is always clean. We were allowed to check in early. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast is always very nice.

Summary: We come here because our daughter goes to GVSU. It is so convenient to have such a nice hotel near.

Positive: My daughter and I were there for a college visit at Grand Valley State University, coming from Northern Illinois, so we came in the night before. The location was perfect for this reason. Breakfast was good.

Negative: I do not know what was covering the mattresses, but they were ridiculously noisy with any little movement. We woke ourselves or each other up because of this multiple times. We could hear our neighbors the entire night, until about 2:30 am, and they were not loud, just conversations, should have way better soundproofing between rooms.
