Summary: Roberts home was perfect for our family weekend. There were seven of us & the 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths worked out beautifully. We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties, and this was among the best we have experienced. The weather was cool and rainy most of our stay, but the house was warm, comfortable, and provided a great place to hang out. There were even heated floors on the lower level! The home was very clean and very well equipped. The pictures are very representative of the beautiful home and all of the unique features. The rock wall on the first floor was amazing and the original brick walls in several of the rooms added to the charm. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to prepare a meal. The only minor thing missing was creamer for coffee. Our family loves cocktails and we brought along the necessary liquor & mixers. The bar was fully stocked with ice, drink glasses and barware. The furniture downstairs was very comfortable for relaxing and viewing the large screen TV over the bar. Only a few minutes from Watkins Glen, we were able to take advantage of a beautiful hike through the Glen between raindrops. We visited several wineries and had a great farm-to-table meal at a restaurant a few miles away. The queen size beds were firm, but comfortable and had nice linens. The distance to the bathroom from the downstairs bedroom is less than ideal, but doable. Overall, we highly recomment this home and would love to return.

Summary: Roberts property is absolutely amazing! Our family was in the area to watch our son race at Watkins Glen track, which is less than 10 minutes from the house. Everything about our stay was perfect! The house was very clean and stylishly decorated. There were all the amenities you could ask for, even soap, shampoo, lotion & extra toothbrushes if needed. Robert had left a basket, full of snacks, chocolate, and a bottle of wine from a local vendors. There were even beverages in the refrigerator that he offered us to partake in. What we loved about the house the most is the history of being a carriage house, then becoming a great steakhouse, and the spectacular rock wall that the house is built around. This is what made the house so unique! Robert was very quick to respond to any questions we had. He is so generous and what is inside has not forgot one thing.
