Summary: "This gite was in a delightful, peaceful village situation. While built in the 1500s it has been beautifully modernized and is clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating outside on the private terrace with great views over the valley. The chateaux of the Loire Valley were easy day trips away. We also enjoyed visiting the Troglodyte village of Troo. Our sons particularly enjoyed the owners' generous sharing of bicycles. We appreciated their warm welcome and the help they gave us in getting settled."

Summary: "This is an enchanting cottage which we (4 Australians) really loved. The upstairs bedroom was spacious and atmospheric and the outside terrace delightful. Even the dangling staircase had its own eccentric charm. Therese and Jean-Pierre were extremely friendly and overwhelmed us with helpful (and accurate) information about what to see and where to eat and how to get there. Aze is a lovely little village, very well situated for visiting the many attractions of the Loire area: we just wish we had had more time to enjoy it and would return there in an instant. Not enough bowls for salads, etc. but otherwise - perfect!"

Summary: "The house was beautifully appointed and was in a lovely quiet area. It was a delightful spot for a quiet relaxing holiday and we used it as our base to explore the chateaux in the Loire Valley. The owners went out of their way to help us settle in and feel welcome. We loved the place."

Summary: "The cottage in Aze was everything we imagined it to be. It was a haven in the middle of the Loire Valley, close enough to all the sights and bigger town of Vendome but at the same time away from all the traffic and noise. The cottage itself was well equipped and the fire place proved to be a welcome treat after a long day sightseeing. The owners Jean-Pierre and Therese were very welcoming and helpful with providing information about the area. The upstairs loft had a fantastic bed and bathroom area and we awoke every morning to the green fields on one side and the church on the other. We throroughly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Loire Valley."

Summary: "We recently spent Christmas & New Year in Azé and loved it. The village is quiet but not too far from the medium-sized town of Vendôme, and there is a baker's, a butcher's and a small but well-stocked grocery practically on the doorstep. The downstairs has a wonderful open fire that we enjoyed in the evenings and the kitchen is well-equipped. With temperatures around zero we didn't make much use of the terrace, but in summer it must be lovely, with views onto the fields beyond. The staircase is a little daunting, but upstairs well worth the effort! The bed is big and comfortable and there's a wonderful "hydrotherapy" bath with lots of interesting buttons to press! The owners are the kindest folk you could wish to meet, picked us up from the station & dropped us off again & the farewell drink on the last day was a lovely touch. Be prepared to feel at home as soon as you get through the door."
