Summary: It was a a beautiful property. Right on the beach. Furniture is very old and lobby washroom was just the one. Very tiny Definitely needs some upgrades. Otherwise restaurant etc was decent Some of the check in staff was rude (one for sure) and seemed disinterested. Rest were nice.

Summary: For the price I was not that impressed. Location is good and staff at the bar were very nice and friendly. Rooms and hotel condition is older. As far as being environmental friendly, I wish they’d filter water and use glasses so as to prevent excess plastic.

Summary: The location is excellent! On the beach…very clean. Room was very small. Early arrival and staff was not very accommodating as they wanted me to upgrade to a deluxe room. Customer service on check in was not the best. But other times they were nice!

Summary: No complaints about the food, drinks & the service out on the deck area. But the room comfort was bad & unfortunately I didn’t realise the problems till going to bed. The mattress nearly had springs poking through on one side, slept on the other side but it had a huge slump in the middle, aircon was noisy, lot of light spill over at top of curtains, TV really didn’t work & only 3 channels, one ceiling light once hot turned off, cooled down turned on, off on off on etc. Bed side cabinet drawer wouldn’t stay closed, perfect to skin your leg on, sorted that with a bit of tape. Complained next day & they gave me a new room, but ceiling panels had gaps. Mosquitoes a bit of worry but I took a mozzi repellent device with me so that was sorted. The 2nd room’s light coming in over the top of the curtains was even worse. Though I’d have an afternoon nap, needed it but room next door was having tiles ripped up. Around the hotel the toilet bowls needed a good scrub. They chose the wrong person to put in a non renovated room!

Summary: For a top end backpackers, the smugglers cove resort is excellent value in terms of a cheap safe place to stay during transferring to other party's of the island. The resort is very clean and tidy, felt safe for my kids to run and play by themselves. Pool is very handy on those hot humid days. The restaurant is mighty pricey for the food you get, however the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, fun and always happy. The family room is very spacious, .myself and four children were very comfortable, conveniently we had a kitchen to cook our own meals, washer and dryer which where a life saver in extra cost. Close to the town center for shopping trips and close to the airport for outbound travel.
