Positive: Absolutely phenomenal location. On the way to the cabin we saw one of the most stunning sunsets we've ever seen, and when we arrived, there was a beautiful rainbow right opposite the cabin. In the morning we saw dolphins frolicking in the bay, right outside our window. Cabin itself is extremely cozy, it's small but perfect for a short stay and for a couple of people.
Negative: Everything was fantastic. Maybe a small suggestion - it'd be great if the knives were sharpened :-)
Summary: I live in Iceland and have been to numerous cabins here, and this is definitely in my top 3.

Positive: The cottage was a cozy fit for two. We were able to cook ourselves dinner in the little kitchenette, have a restful sleep, and enjoy breakfast the next morning with a beautiful view of the mountains and water away from the hustle and bustle of a city.
Negative: Upon arriving at Smyrill Cottages, you are required to input the code that was emailed to you in order to open a box that contains the key to open the cottage. The code that we were originally sent via a confirmation email did not open the box and phone calls to the owner kept getting dropped due to poor signal in the area, but thankfully they were able to respond to our email in about ten minutes with a code that actually worked. However, it was a stressful situation to endure at 10:00pm after a long day of driving and sightseeing and facing the possibility of having to spend the night in the car. Anyone who wishes to spend a night here is encouraged to contact the owner of the cottage a few days in advance to verify that the access code for the key sent via a confirmation email is correct and ensure an arrival smoother than the one that we experienced. Having access to a car Wi-Fi router or data on your cell phone is also recommended in the event that you need to contact the cottage's owner.

Positive: I'm a big cabin fan, so this one really hit the mark. I told my friend "You know what? I could honestly live here" 😁 Beds were comfy, stove worked like it should. 10/10
Negative: I would have liked a shower, but that was not included with the smaller cabin, so not really alot to complain about. I would have liked a radio though, just for to be able to turn on for the news, weather forecast, etc, while making coffee.
