Also enjoy the Back Fork of Elk, Gauley, Cranberry, Williams, Holly plus many trout streams. Fish miles of the Elk River with in minutes of the Cabin. Summary: 1st the road sign was missing and we got lost!! Once we arrived it was great! Relaxing. Hot tub was a big hit. Had a few issues that were taken care of on a holiday! Vey appreciated. Plenty of blankets. Wood burner was so cozy! This cabin is good enough. It could be so much more! Beautiful views. River short walk down the hill.

Summary: We arrived shortly after dark to a cute front porch that had string lights across it and was very welcoming! The cabin was clean and well stocked with fire wood, towels, toiletries, pots and pans, etc. I can't think of one thing we needed and did not have available to us. The manager responded to every message that I had in a timely manner and I had all the info that I needed to get there, check in and get the wifi going before I even started packing. Hot tub worked perfectly, there was a charcoal grill, smoker and a propane grill, plenty of options if you are prepared! It was gorgeous and I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from reality for a minute. My ONLY complaint with it has nothing to do with the cabin or management, but the neighbors. They have a HUGE German Shepherd that is very aggressive, 3 times he ran full speed at us, growling, barking and lunging, stopping feet short of us to the point we had to shield our dog. I feel like if our dog had been out off leash, he would've attacked him. It was extremely stressful not being able to walk down the road or out in the yard and not look over your shoulder. I'd beware if you have dogs or small children, simply because of this. Outside of that issue, we had a wonderful time and I couldn't have asked for more.

Summary: Location was very nice. It was by a creek and was beautiful outside. Inside there was a thick film of dust on all shelf and fan surfaces and the water reeked of sulfur. One disappointing thing was the hot tub didn’t have a correct cover on it so it would lose water just from sitting over night(with the cover on as the owners required every time the tub wasn’t in use). Also the windows had tarp nailed over them so you couldn’t look outside while enjoying the hot tub. Overall, the cabin would be phenomenal if a little money and sweat equity was put into it. Would i stay here again? Probably not, but there are definitely worse places to stay.

Summary: This is the best option if you want to go fishing on the upper Elk River. Consequently, we have stayed there three years in a row for a week each year. However, I don't think we will stay there again. We thought the house was filthy dirty and needs a deep cleaning badly. If we do stay again, we will plan for the following accordingly: 1. The grill is unusable due to not being cleaned and there was no gas. 2. We will take sleeping bags and pillows to use on the beds. 3. We will take our own towels and wash cloths. 4. We will take our own drinking water. I don't think that anything has been done to maintain or improve the property in the last three years. It is a shame, because it has the potential to be a really nice property. We also don't think it is safe for children.

Summary: Our time on vacation was great !! We knew that we were staying a distance from snowshoe , but we were happy to find a rather remote cabin for a great price .. the location was beautiful the house was however a bit deceiving . It looks nothing like it did In photos we looked at online. The first being no hot tub. Seasonal. If not for winter season when ??? Too hot for summer . Upon our arrival the fireplace area was a mess , cobwebs on deer antlers bugs in the corner. No lamps upstairs worked only had lights from ceiling fans and some of them burned out. Ceiling fan in bedroom looks like it’s about to fall in floor hanging by cord . When wood was delivered they actually dumped it on ground beside porch. Not at all satisfied. First time from Vrbo, not a good showing.
