Welcome to: Oxoboxo Lake Cottage
Year round lakefront cottage. Enjoy your own beach, dock, fire pit , new outdoor kitchen, and covered porch. Sit in the 3 season sun room with ceiling fan and take in the view or read a good book on the wicker sofa. Head into the open concept living room/ kitchen through the french doors. Sit in front of the gas fire place or catch a good movie on the Amazon Firestick. When it is time for bed enjoy the bedroom with king size bed and a view of the lake or go up the spiral staircase where you can find 2 twin beds or push them together for an added king size bed and a view of the lake.
During the day enjoy our own half moon beach with 2 lounge chairs and access to the water. Enjoy the day fishing off the dock or use the kayaks provided for a scenic trip around the lake. In the evening sit out at the bench and look out at the lake or enjoy a nice fire in the fire pit. Please note we do have firewood for 5.00 per crate.

Summary: We stayed for four nights while enjoying fall colors in Connecticut. Great home base for our excursions. Lots of cute towns within half hour. Very comfortable bed. Really enjoyed the deck in the afternoon sun.

Summary: This is a beautiful home right on a very beautiful lake. The owner provides kayaks and a gorgeous setting to relax. It rained during our downtime so we did not use beach set up available or the fire pit but the porch and large widows allowed us to enjoy the outdoors and peacefulness we needed. Victoria the owner made it very easy and welcoming.

Summary: Positives: Property was very clean and the views were gorgeous! A very relaxing, peaceful and comfortable place to rent. The owner was very responsive with communication and getting back to me if I had any questions. Negatives: The house could have been better stocked e.g. we had to bring plastic wrap and foil, and had to go buy cookie sheets because there were none in the house. The listing had some inaccuracies and conflicting info i.e. wrong size bed listed and mentioned hot tub when there was none. After paying for the rental in full on Vrbo, I received an email containing a 9 page rental agreement with many rules, and the email stated: "Signed agreement within 48 hours of booking. No signed rental agreement, or ID no access, no refund, no exceptions!" My friends and I have rented many properties together and this was the first one that required a signed rental agreement. In spite of the negatives, it was a great cottage to stay in and us ladies had a great time! We would definitely rent here again.

Summary: Such a relaxing weekend in a beautiful home. The house was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. We brought our paddle boards and spent the weekend on the lake enjoying the scenery and sunshine. Victoria was great with communicating and check in/check out was smooth. 10/10 recommend!!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at the lake. We were greeted by Victoria on arrival. She and her husband even invited us for a boat ride the next day. The house was equipped with everything we needed, even a phone charger! Loved having the 4 kayaks at our disposal for several lovely and peaceful paddle sessions on the lake. Nice deck to watch the sunrise everyday and a spacious garden with a little beach corner. Only thing we couldn't do was use the fire pit given the dry weather this summer. Maybe next time!. A really great spot to relax.

Summary: I can never say enough about the home. Wakeup to sun just breaking the trees, geese, birds and wild life. Chipmunks running around gathering for the day and a beautiful porch to take it all in. The homes afar dancing on mirror of the lake as you sit with coffee or tea to start your day. As the day continues the water calls to you to cool your feet or take a dip. Night fall brings out the night life as the frogs sing to the moon. The lights of the homes around and far dance in the moon light of the lake as your mind wonders. You start a fire in the fire circle and chat as the dark closes in. Bring a fan, open the windows as the cool air kisses you cheeks and the frogs sing you to sleep. The next morning brings it all back! What more could you ask for as the smell of bacon and fresh coffee kisses the air. You have fallen in love with the simple life.
