Bon bini! We invite you to be our guests in our Caribbean home on the beautiful island of Curacao. Your master bedroom looks through the shady garden to the ocean. Bring your coffee out to the deck in the morning and watch the fishermen heading out to sea followed by the frigate birds and brown footed boobies. Glimpse a sea turtle cruising by or if you are lucky pods of whales or dolphins cruising up the coast. Since we face west you won't want to miss sunset out there followed by a night sky awash in stars.
Walk in either direction, through our sleepy village of Lagun, to one of two neighborhood beaches. Cook in or dine out at one of many nearby restaurants. Tour the island's rural west end to find cozy beaches, beautiful beach entry dive sites, amazing hiking and mountain biking trails. Drive into Willemstad, a world heritage port capital, for shopping, dining, museums or to watch the tugs guiding huge tankers into port.

Summary: Although we didn’t get to stay in Lagun due to unforeseen circumstances, Lisa accommodated us with a stay at her Play Jeremi property that was absolutely stunning. Her communication was great and her property manager Hynrich was an absolute gentleman and pleasure to deal with. The property was pristine and we were close to all the beaches we wanted to visit and a short drive to Mt. Christoffel. There are also several great restaurants nearby with great food and warm service. We can’t wait to go back!

Summary: We had a wonderful time at Sol Patch. The bedroom, bathroom and outdoor kitchen were exceptionally clean and well decorated. The shared outside space was nice. And the patio, deck was so relaxing. We really enjoyed their sweet dogs that were waiting to greet us every morning. We really enjoyed our stay. The only things that I wasn't super happy with was, it didn't feel very private. I was thinking the house was separate from their home, but it really wasn't. We could hear every time they moved around the house and I'm sure they could hear us. The bedroom window has a light curtain on it and faces their front porch/ living room. So no waking around naked. Lol The home is also a pretty good drive from Willemstad, about 45 minutes. The traffic is not fun to drive in. So we rarely drove into town. It's also very warm there and my husband was told to not run the AC when we left. So we would only turn it on at night. It just didn't feel very comfortable. All in all a good trip. Owners were so nice and accommodating. Especially when both of us got a viral infection while we were there and had no idea how to get meds. Ugh!! Thank goodness for her magic box of random meds. The home is also very close to a lot of restaurants and beaches. We rented a car and driving around was no issue, minus the crazy round abouts. I've never seen so many in my entire life.

Summary: My teen daughter & I were fortunate enough to stay at this Lagun home for a week. Joel & Lisa are lovely hosts, who I'd love to have as full-time neighbors. I have stayed at other properties of their's before & they are always beautifully decorated, clean & are as advertised. What you can't see from the listings is the calm, serene feeling or the sounds of the birds & critters or the smells of the flowers & sea... There was always something new to discover on the property; a fun colored lizard, a piece of art we hadn't noticed before, dolphins swimming past as we relaxed on the Bali bed. It's an easy drive to many great beaches, restaurants & natural attractions, while being away from the busy tourist areas like JanThiel.

Summary: My wife and I had an amazing time. Property was even more beautiful than we had dreamed. Very easy to relax on the property and soak up the incredible views. 2 beach’s within walking distance with many more just a short drive away. Joel and Lisa were excellent hosts and always answered any questions we had regarding the island. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Summary: Beautiful and cozy place to stay. The outdoor space was perfect for cooking and dining. Absolutely loved the deck space. We spent most of our time there relaxing, watching the ocean and drinking coffee in the morning. Swimming off the steps was beautiful and the visibility was amazing. The place is centrally located near the beaches and restaurants. What makes the place so special is Joel and Lisa who live there too. They are absolutely wonderful people. Very helpful with questions and suggestion for restaurants and site seeing. There two little dogs are super sweet we enjoyed their company too. We went diving with at Bahia the local dive shop. Wonderful people to work with. We had an amazing time in Curacao and will be returning and staying here again.

Summary: My husband and I had such a lovely time in Lagun, and Sol Patch was the perfect place to stay- in a quiet location, but close to the beach and restaurant. Lisa and Joel were the perfect hosts, and gave us lots of advice on places to go that we wouldn’t have otherwise have discovered. It would have been easy to spend the days sitting on the deck, and snorkelling off the steps. We wish we’d had longer. Thankyou Lisa and Joel for sharing your beautiful space .

Summary: From our first communication with Lisa and Joel until the minute we checked out we felt we were with friends. The apartment is comfotable, fun, and kitschy, and the outdoor kitchen has everything you need to cook basic meals. Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful time at Lisa and Joel's. The location can't be beat. We were looking for a quiet, laid back week away from home. We spent a lot of time on the deck looking out over the ocean, and it was so easy to walk down the steps to hop into the ocean for a swim as well. It's walkable to two beaches, a couple of restaurants, hiking trails...and many more within a short drive. The property and location alone is spectacular, but Lisa and Joel are truly what makes this place special. One of the major highlights of our trip was sharing a meal with them. So kind and welcoming, they were eager to share their knowledge of their beautiful island. Thank you so much for a wonderful week away from home.
