6 Bedroom Cabin in Carbon Hill, Lancaster

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene cabin on 9 acres. There are currently 6 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and one half bath. Outdoor amenities include a large wrap around deck overlooking the forest, grill, fire circle, and NEW HOT TUB! Enjoy hiking to waterfalls and caves, ziplining, kayaking or canoeing, golfing and other outdoor activities in an easy 10-30 min driving distance.
Enjoy a large and open living room space connected to a spacious kitchen. The kitchen table seats 10 comfortably. There is additional table space for four children and seating for 6 more adults at the kitchen counter area.
Chefs will enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with ceramic dishes, silverware, ceramic mugs and cups. There are cooking utensils, pots and pans, mixing bowls, baking sheets, pretty much everything you need for to cook most meals. There is a drip coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, and a crock pot. A grill is available on the deck, please keep it covered when not using.
The lower level provides extra space with two game rooms offering ping pong, air hockey and foosball. There are plenty of board games to play when the weather keeps you indoors. A new hot tub installed 2022 is located just outside the game room with the ping pong table and available all year long.
If you have a family member with decreased mobility, Solace has two first floor bedrooms. Bedroom 1 on the first floor bedrooms is an accessible suite that features a queen size bed and a twin medical bed with an attached fully accessible bathroom with a 5' by 5' barrier-free shower entry. There is a generic shower chair available, but please feel free to bring/use your own for maximum safety/comfort. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and small table. There is a full bathroom with a shower and tub on the first floor accessible from the living room as well as a half bathroom by the kitchen.
The second floor had three bedrooms and one bathroom with a claw tub made for relaxing soaks. Note, there is not currently a shower in this bathroom. There is a hand held spray handle.
Although the property is 9 acres, the cabin does sit fairly close to the road, though there are trees between the house and the road for privacy.
Note: There is a ring doorbell and two security cameras including one overlooking the hot tub. The cameras are NOT monitored but video is recorded and reviewed as needed.

Summary: I was expecting a nice place to stay but this was above expectations! Very nice - clean- well stocked- We had a large family weekend - lots of space for all- the hot tub was wonderful- the lay out of the house is very nice- lots of places to be alone - but several large areas for the group to be together- it was just perfect for what we were looking for and we spent today hiking at old man’s cave- it was perfecto!

Summary: Had a great Christmas celebration with family here. They even left up a Christmas tree for us! Enjoyed the hot tub and traveling to Hocking Hills for some hiking. Kids enjoyed the game room and we enjoyed the large kitchen table for playing games with the entire family!

Summary: Perfect location for our large family get together. Short drive to all the popular caves and hikes. Property was incredibly clean and well-maintained. It’s a little close to the road, but still has quite a bit of privacy. We would definitely book again!

Summary: Property as described! Close to road but you really don’t notice at all. It’s a little steep out the back, so watch if you have littles! Great attention to details to make sure you have a stress free stay. It was the perfect space for our family of 10 to share the holiday weekend. Love the table we would all sit around comfortably!

Summary: This was a really nice property the pictures don't do it justice as it was much more comfortable than we were expecting. The house was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen was perfect and allowed us to all sit and eat meals and play games together. We loved all of the windows the views and sunrises were beautiful!

Summary: This house is lovely and clean, and sits in a beautiful setting. If you're looking for a place for a large-ish group to gather, this is it. We had ten people (and two dogs -- THANK YOU for being pet friendly!). We could all sit at the large table in comfort. The great room has a lot of seating and is open to another lovely sitting area. All of it is open to the kitchen so while there are various zones for separate conversation, the common areas are open and connected. Bedrooms are comfortable and kitchen is nice. The hot tub wasn't in working order but we enjoyed a holiday sing-along around the piano! I would absolutely book this house again and look forward to another visit. I'd love to use the place during nice weather -- the deck is magnificent, but we were there in the dead of winter so I guess we'll just have to go back. Elizabeth was remarkably accessible and communicative, as well as kind. Thanks for a great way to get my family together.
