Positive: The view,location and the landscape is stunning. So many types of trees and plants in the yard. There are multiple shops within a five minute drive . Roberto and his wife were nothing short of amazing. With homemade wine, olive oil and traditional treats on New Year’s Eve. He made sure we were comfortable, provided firewood, and gave perfect recommendations for sightseeing. The home itself was cozy and perfect for having a home cooked meal. Positive: Location: The house is located on a verdant hillside surrounded by vineyards and olive tree groves with a beautiful view of the hills and small towns in the distance. It’s close to the areas main road allowing one to visit towns, like Volterra and San Gimignano, that dot the Tuscan landscape as well as in just over 1 hours’ drive from Sienna, Pisa and Florence. The apartment is part of the house of the owner but with its own main entrance. One four step and one five step outside stairs bring one to the apartment. The bedrooms, sport/game room and shower/toilet are located on the top floor of the property, the kitchen and living area one floor below and cover about 1/2 the area of that floor and hold a family of 4 easily. Facilities: All facilities needed to have a relaxing stay are present including an outside sitting area. WiFi was quick and stable. The kitchen is well utilized and comes with an induction plate for cooking, small microwave, medium oven as well as a large fridge. Cleanliness: The place was clean and a vacuum cleaner was present. Comfort: Spare towels, spare bedding, extra pillows in different firmness were present. The master bedroom matress is most likely on the firm side for most but not too much to be bothersome. Some emergency food items (crackers, jam, pasta and sauce) are present, courtesy of the host. Host: What makes this place really shine is the host, Roberto, Roberto is warm and welcoming and has an abundance of tips and tricks from where to best eat, where to find parking spots, as well as what to visit. We were welcomed with two bottles of wine and a small bottle of olive oil made from Roberto’s own produce. We cannot guarantee they are present at your stay, seasonality, but if, talk Roberto up on tips how to enjoy them the most. Do this anyway as Roberto knows very well how to enjoy the Tuscan lifestyle to the fullest making you enjoy your stay just that bit more.
Negative: Location: The shower is spacious however has a slanted roof that anyone over 1.9m needs to be aware of, the shower cabin is on the small side making bending down for an impaired individual when taller than 1.9m most likely a challenge.

Positive: We spent a couple of weeks in the beautiful Sole Verde green house and had a wonderful vacation. The owner made us feel at home. Roberto welcomed us with not only a smile, but also wine and olive oil of his own production, and during our stay we could cook using the vegetables and herbs from the garden. We could always ask for recommendations of local attractions and the best food. Roberto was always there for us whenever we needed him, while respecting our privacy. The apartment is spacious, clean, and fully equipped. There's even a home gym and table foodball for the small and big kids. The views from the windows are wonderful! The double bed is large and comfortable. In the kitchen, there was coffee and tea provided, and even snacks for breakfast. There's a capsule coffee machine as well as an Italian coffee maker. Apart from the stove there's also an oven (very handy if you want to reheat your take-out pizza) and there's a fireplace opposite the sofa. Outside the apartment, there is plenty of space to relax - you can eat a meal or read a book on one of the terraces, or just lie down in the orchard among the olive trees. If you want to go to the beach, there are sunbeds available, and we could also borrow an umbrella. The neighborhood is rural and beautiful, but, like most of the Tuscan roads, not really walkable (no sidewalk), so you need a car to move around. Our favorite town nearby was Peccioli (8 minutes by car), full of street contemporary art (amazing, never seen anything like it before!!!) and even with free museums - see all the floors of the famous Palazzo Senza Tempo, but also go to Museo di Palazzo Pretorio - on the 1st floor there's a permanent exhibition includig Dali, Goya, Chirico, Guttuso etc. and at the top floor there's a great terrace; Museo Archeologico is also free :) While in Peccioli, try La Dispensa Osteria Enoteca - what a risotto!

Positive: Sole Verde Green House was our favourite accommodations during our two-week trip to Italy. It was wonderful to stay at the farm of Roberto and his lovely family. Roberto was so friendly and sweet and made us feel very welcome. Sole Verde had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, the beds were very comfortable, and the view of the hills and valley was absolutely spectacular. There were delicious products (olive oil and wine) made at the farm for us to try, snacks and a wide range of essentials (coffee, pasta, etc.) in case we needed them, and herbs from the garden that we could use in our supper. There was even a games room. We loved the country air and the singing birds. We had a peaceful and pleasant time, and wish we could have stayed for longer. It is a convenient base for visiting San Gimignano, Volterra, and other locations in Tuscany. We would highly recommend Sole Verde Green House to everyone. La ringrazio tanto, Roberto, for making our visit so special!

Positive: Roberto ( the owner) was amazing. He was very welcoming and helpful. He gave us lots of recommendations on local attractions, restaurants and places worth seeing. House was well equipped, especially kitchen so we could cook like at home. We loved the fireplace and Roberto happily helped us light the fire. We also enjoyed playroom with table football as well as access to the garden and fresh herbs. Location is good to get real experience of Tuscany.
Negative: Young dog who was our morning alarm clock :)
