Summary: Upon arrival, I was informed that the restaurant was closed for renovations, so we had to drive into town for dinner. The satellite channels were not working, and when I called and left a voicemail for the number at the front desk, I didn’t receive a response. It was too cold to sit outside, so without TV, it made for a boring night. The coffee maker is kept in a common area, and in the morning (around 8:30), I found that there wasn’t enough coffee or cream, and I couldn’t find anyone to ask for assistance. As a result, we decided to leave early and shower at home, because to get coffee, we had to drive to Tim Hortons in Bancroft (the opposite direction from our house). We had stayed here in the past and previously enjoyed our time, as it’s a beautiful spot and very clean. However, this time it was quite disappointing not having TV and morning coffee, given the amount we paid.

Summary: This past month there was a power outage that lasted several days and we just needed a night of heat, electricity and Internet. We accidentally clicked on this place when I thought we were making a reservation somewhere else and boy was that the best mistake I ever made. We had a late check-in, but everything went smoothly. The room was clean, warm and beautiful. It was nice to stay a place as fancy on the off-season.
