Positive: Liked having a kitchenette with a sink, running hot water and washing up items. Everything was included- cutlery, crockery, bbq tools. Microwave available. Bonus. Not every motel does. Mini fridge worked well during hot days. The air-conditioning was excellent , at least in room 17. Reliable tv. Small to medium size. The room was very spacious and had a little dining area with a table and 2 chairs. There was room for a small sofa in the lounge area. BBQ facilities available. Daily housekeeping while I was there. Wifi was free and pretty reliable. Staff were polite and friendly. The manager, in particular, was prompt in dealing with unruly, loud guests during my stay. I asked for a room which wasn't an interconnected one and was accommodated.
Negative: Unfortunately, there were council road crew members staying there who were foul- drinking and smoking and swearing and talking loudly right outside my room's window. To the manager's credit, he got them to move away after I complained. If you don't want noisy FIFO workers or a roadcrew staying in the motel with you when you're there, give it a miss, or ask manager who's going to be there. Because of the council workers, the motel carpark was full on all my nights stays I had to park on the street overnight, far away from my room. Annoying. The shower room was old and tired. The water pressure during showering went on and off. Repairs to the showerline/waterline were being made during my stay. I couldn't get log into any of my streaming channels, eg Netflix or Disney. Don't know why. There's no meal service. Could do with vending machines 4 drinks or snacks. I missed not having a couple of springwaters left in the fridge. Mist motels do nowdays. I bought my own. There is a rainwater tank on premises though.
