Positive: We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Denis is truly a super host — I haven’t experienced such attention to guests and details in a long time. The property is a perfect mix of comfort and charm: the room was equipped with modern amenities, the linen was fresh and beautiful, and the atmosphere felt like an authentic British B&B in the heart of France. The breakfast was both delicious and beautifully presented, and the garden by the river created such a calm and relaxing setting. The location is excellent — very close to Château de Jumilhac-le-Grand and many other attractions in the Dordogne region, which makes it perfect for exploring.

Positive: Location, owners and room were all excellent.

Negative: The breakfast was basic. Could be so much better through having a variety of cereals, pastries, yoghurts, fruits, cheeses etc. Given the availability of such excellent produce in France it's a shame not to make the most of it. Also a pack with all the local information, places to eat etc would be helpful. We did find a basic pack in a drawer on the day we left!

Summary: On the whole a lovely place to stay but improving the breakfast offering would make it excellent.
