We are offering a wonderful opportunity to stay in this two story Victorian era home, complete with wrap front and side porch for your Springfield visit! This home is located on the north side of Springfield with great access to major highways and our wonderful downtown and historic Commercial St area. The colleges and Springfield Cardinals ball field are close as well. Take a tour of a world renowned chocolate factory, or enjoy live music at Springfield's oldest tavern from the 1870's. Experience the new Wonders of Wildlife museum and Aquarium! There is something for everyone. Additionally Springfield's top festivals and holiday activities are centered in midtown and downtown areas.
It is truly a charmer with original woodwork throughout, double staircase, outside gardens and enough room to really spread out. Beautiful décor, quality beds and linens, fully stocked kitchen, we have tried to think of everything!
The layout:
The house has three bedrooms upstairs - all spacious and with closets. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed (with a feather bed topper - just like you remember at grandmas!), bedroom 2 has a queen bed, and bedroom 3 has 2 full beds and a sleeper sofa. Bedroom 3 also has a TV. One bathroom is located upstairs with a claw foot soaking tub. Downstairs you have a living room and a family room with large screen TV, formal dining room and a breakfast nook, a fully furnished kitchen, a downstairs bathroom with a shower, and a laundry room. We provide internet, Wi-Fi, cable TV and Netflix.
The house has three entry/exits - front door, side door and back door to the fenced in patio area.
The front yard is also fenced in. There is a large garage in back of the house, but you do not have access to that. You are however, welcome to make use of the additional yard space in back of the garage for outdoor activities. It is fairly private and would make a great area set up for special events. We have a long driveway for parking. The house sits next to a lovely church that has a nice parking lot, but obviously it is their parking lot and we ask that you are considerate of that especially on Sundays and Wednesdays. They have a very small congregation and typically only a few cars are there but we want to be good neighbors!
We offer discounts on full week stays and long term rentals. Whether its business or pleasure you will not be disappointed!

Summary: This sweet house delivered all it promised. It was clean, with no signs of rodents (per another reviewer). we loved the large family room and the bedrooms were comfortable. Well-outfitted kitchen and incredibly convenient to everything in Springfield that we wanted to see. For the reviewer who said the coffee maker didn't turn on, we had no problem (pushed the button marked BREW on the coffee maker and ... coffee was made). It took a bit of coordinating for the 4 of us to manage the one shower but that was truly not a problem. Lots of hot water btw. We loved hanging out on the front porch and I felt better having a security system (I'm from Memphis where it's a must). Our dogs loved the front yard (fully fenced) and the host was incredibly accommodating about a slightly late departure (we didn't want to say goodbye to each other!). This was a wonderful experience. Summary: Our team really enjoyed their stay at this house. Everything was super clean and the water pressure was great. The neighborhood is a little rough, but the house was amazing.

Summary: House was very roomy. Could use a couple of minor repairs but nothing serious. Our dog enjoyed the fenced in front yard knowing she didn't have to be on a leash. Only issue i really had was that the yard could have been mowed(but not sure what the weather was like before we got down there). Location was close to quite a few thing that we had planned to do. Overall i would maybe suggest an A/C in the middle bedroom and TVs in the other 2 bedrooms.

Summary: Such a beautiful home that has everything you need in it. There is so much room for everyone. This is a home i would want to spend holidays in with family. It it so cozy and relaxing. Favorite home in the Springfield area that I have stayed in by far!

Summary: I don't really know where to start. The Owners/Hosts are two of the nicest people we have met in a long time. The property and all of the furnishing's are unbelievable. As a retired Interior Designer and Shop owner Carla has done an outstanding job furnishing and decorating the house. The daily supplies they provide are second to none and plentiful. House is set up to provide a positive experience for You and or Your Family, Games, Toys for kids etc. The yard is awesome since we were traveling with our 16 Year Old Miniature Dachshund and the yard being fenced gave him exercise room while we sat on the porch in late afternoon enjoying the wonderful weather. If you are going to book this property with a pet, one word of advise. If you leave the property and leave your pet inside while your out you will need to push the HOME button on the Alarm not the Away Button!!! I pushed away and upon returning after dinner we pulled up to the house to find 3 of Springfield's Finest in Blue Investigating why the Motion Sensors had set off the alarm. Feeling like an idiot The Officers just laughed and they were a pleasure to talk with. If we ever plan on another trip to Springfield, MO we will absolutely contact Carla and book this Property. Summary: This house has so much room for the entire family! We loved every minute of it. It rained the last night so the (adult) kids stayed home and played games. Our daughter graduated so we won't be staying in Springfield anymore but I wish we wish we had found this gem sooner. There is only one shower so we had to think ahead for our schedule but there are plenty of towels and everything you will need for your stay. The location worked well for us as our daughter's loft was downtown. We are so happy with our stay at this Southern Charmer!
