This home boasts of southern charm! Shiplap walls are featured in all 3 bedrooms, the living/dining area, and kitchen. The tin ceiling in the kitchen, leathered granite countertops, farmhouse sink, new cabinets, and stainless appliances give the home a farmhouse charm and modern functionality.
The home sleeps nine. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The front bedroom has custom crafted twin XL beds with barn wood features. There is a twin XL pull out trundle. The middle bedroom has an iron queen bed. The back bedroom has a custom crafted queen bed with tin tile and barn wood features. There is a custom crafted 75x30 bed in the back bedroom (twin length, but cot width bed), designed after Robert Redford's Sundance Catalog "Carla" Bed. The living room has a new twin sized sleeper sofa, pull out bed, with a memory foam mattress. All new bedding, pillows, and mattresses on every bed. Extra bedding provided.
You may access the entire home and yard.
You may come and go as if this is your own home. We live in a house next door, but we will not intrude on your time.
The home gets its namesake from the large oak trees on the property which add to the beauty of the surrounding countryside.
To add to the farmhouse experience, guests may gather fresh eggs for their breakfast from the charming chicken coup.
Enjoy a back yard BBQ or make a bonfire in the custom fire pit. Sit out on the large porch and plug in the outdoor lights. This home is situated just outside of town, offering serinity, but convenience to town for events, shopping, and good dining.
Big Oak Farmhouse is located 8 miles to TAMU Kyle Field. It is an easy drive to town.
The Girls (Chickens): The girls love to share their eggs. You're welcome to enter the coup and gather eggs. Be sure to close the door behind you!
Fire Pit: There is wood for the fire pit under the cedar tree. Please return lighters to the kitchen drawer. One starter brick starts a fire.

Summary: The little ones loved gathering eggs. The family was satisfied with everything. I am sure this is the going rate for this Vrbo, but just wish it wasn’t so expensive. I think the cost per night should include everything, including taxes and hostess and cleaning fees. There is such a difference in the base cost per night and the final cost.

Summary: We booked several nights to be there for our son’s Ring Day and have a family party a few days later. The house is lovely and the beautiful yard allowed us to have a corn hole competition! We will definitely be back!

Summary: The farmhouse was perfect inside and out. The roses were blooming when we arrived. The front porch is welcoming, every room is clean, comfortable and sweetly decorated. The chickens are friendly and the fresh eggs were a real treat. We loved this little retreat and have already recommended it to friends and family. We will definitely choose it again when we visit College Station.

Summary: My niece got married at Peach Creek Ranch and this was a perfect location. The house is decorated adorable with spring and Easter decor - nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: Our family made countless memories in College Station when my wife and I were in school at A&M. When we became parents, we always talked about taking our girls to the special place that impacted our lives and our relationship so much! Mr. and Mrs. Scott were fantastic hosts and the house was exactly what we were looking for. Growing up and living in a small town, the peace of the country was something that drew us to the property immediately. After watching the Aggies win at Olson Field, it was so nice “escaping” the hustle and bustle of the town and enjoying some peace and quiet, along with our privacy. Will definitely be staying at the Farmhouse again and a big thank you to our hosts for the accommodations that made a special trip for our family just that much better!

Summary: We enjoyed this home so very much. Very clean. Beds so comfortable. Farmhouse with all the updates. Everything you could ever need. More than enough linens and towels, etc. Basic spices, condiments, coffee, tea, creamer all for our use. Loved the chickens and fresh eggs just steps behind the home. The fire pit was a delight. They’ve thought of every detail. Not one single complaint. Loved every minute and truly didn’t want to leave.
