Positive: The unit was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The floor was a bit creaky but due to the age of the building, beds were comfy and it was lovely and quiet.
Negative: Shower took terribly long to heat up and was just a trickle. I didn't have time to see management about this issue as we had a full schedule so we just dealt with it. Otherwise I would stay there again for sure.

Positive: Check-in was easy, but I'd prefer to see someone. The size of the rooms were good and the beds were comfy. The kitchen had all utensils and equipment needed. The shower is a good size.
Negative: Overall the room was clean. There were some places missed like cobwebs in the shower, exhaust fan, crumbs in the toaster cupboard, and window sill in the kitchen. The apartment, while it did its purpose well, is old, dated, and well-worn with very obvious wear and tear. The entrance to the apartments is almost obscured and really needs revamping to make it more welcoming. The picture of the pool in the ads is deceiving and it is actually smaller than it appears - although for some reason the pool was closed and we could not use it (sadly cause it was a reason I booked here, for the kids). Compared to other places we have stayed, it is not worth the $200 nightly fee. It would have been good for a cot to be available. I really disliked that the door automatically locked behind you and there is a $50 out-of-hours charge to unlock (we didn't need this, but this is unacceptable, especially when you have 2 adults staying and only one key. It is not practical. The area of Ballarat where this apartment is is not in a well-kept area, there are no footpaths to walk on and no one seems to own a lawn mower (not the venue's fault, but an inconvenience).
Summary: Nice enough for a night or two, a little on the expensive side for this well worn, old building.

Positive: Room was a nice layout. Comfortable beds and clean sheets. Close to facilities we wanted to use.
Negative: Pool was out of use, we’re not informed on check in. Room had carpet lifting which was a bit of a trip hazard. Could do with a thorough decobwebbing inside and out as had a few spiders. No dvd players as advertised also.
Summary: Nice budget accomodation but could do with a little bit of tlc.
