Kick back “island-style” in a luxurious setting!!! Leave the crowds behind on Seven Mile Beach. The Retreat is located at Rum Point, in the heart of the Cayman Kai area, on the north side of the island. There are only 23 units on our seven acres of beachfront property with 1,300 feet of white sandy beach. An easy 45 minutes by car from the airport. This is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Caribbean in all its natural beauty.
Our condominium is a large one bedroom, one bathroom unit, with more than 1,000 square feet of living space. We have a great view of the beach from the living room and the screened lanai. The unit is on the third floor, which almost always provides for a nice breeze if you want to open up the screened windows and let the ocean air flow through. Our condo is ideally situated for a couple or young family. The large bedroom features a king sized bed, desk with printer, and cable TV.
The living room has a queen-size pullout couch. An additional pullout twin size bed is available upon request. The kitchen boasts new beachy white shaker cabinets, new sink, faucet, and stardust quartzite countertops. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a new full size refrigerator, full size microwave, stove, dishwasher and disposal. The kitchen is also fully stocked with cookware, small appliances, dishes, plates, and silverware that you will need to cook your favorite gourmet meals. As you prepare your meals from our kitchen, you will have plenty of work space on the new sanitized stardust quartzite countertops. Enjoy the view of the Caribbean Sea as you put together your daily breakfast and lunch. Our condo also has a washer and dryer, so feel free to pack light. The bathroom has gone through a complete renovation. The bathtub is new and shower enclosure has new tiles. The rain shower adds to the finishing touch for a luxurious shower experience. The bathroom also boasts a new glass sink, modern faucet, a stardust quartzite countertop and new 40 gallon water heater.
To keep you entertained in the evenings, we have cable television, a DVD player with a selection of movies, radio, video games, board games, puzzles, and cards. A small library of novels is available for your enjoyment. Email your family and friends from your laptop. We have high-speed wireless internet. Local telephone calls are also free of charge.
The water is very shallow hundreds of feet offshore, perfect for the kids. The beach has lots of vegetation, shade trees, and wildlife, making it a nature lover’s paradise. The waters are part of a nationally protected marine park. So, you will find lots of fish and coral right out our back door.
The Retreat offers an attractively landscaped garden and pool and free parking. .
From our condominium, you will walk out your door onto one of the Caribbean's most amazing beaches. You may be able to find a place at the Kaibo that is a little bit cheaper. But, you will find our condominium to be the best value on the treasured Caribbean Sea side at Rum Point.
The Retreat and our condo have been inspected and approved by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. So, rest assured that our amenities are up to the finest of standards. Summary: If you want a serene spot on Grand Cayman then this condo and Rum Point should be in your trip plans! The view from the condo is beautiful and the beach there is wonderful. The North side vibe is so relaxing and our kind of vacation. There are other beaches to check out nearby, some great restaurants in the area and Grand Cayman landmarks to visit. We spent one day on the west side and that was enough for us. Very crowded and touristy. We are so glad we stayed at Rum Point rather than over at Seven Mile Beach! The condo has a great floor plan. You can access the bathroom from the bedroom and hallway. If someone is an early riser they can use the restroom without going in and out of the bedroom. A nice feature even for only two people. The kitchen had everything we needed. The full size washer and dryer were a big plus. The bed was very comfortable and had a lot of pillows. Huge closet with a lot of hangers and two dressers, so plenty of space to unpack for your stay. The bathroom and kitchen updates were really nice. The info packet sent before check-in was the best we've ever received for a VRBO property. To start, there were step by step directions (with photos) to the condo which really helped since we had no phone data and we were driving left for the first time. We appreciated the info about where to stop for groceries and other supplies. We took advantage of the many suggestions about where to eat, places to visit, other beaches near the condo and on the west side. The communication with Adela before and during our stay was helpful, informative and fast. We look forward to another visit to this condo on Rum Point. Five stars. Highly recommend!

Summary: This property is in absolutely beautiful location, with a huge screened balcony overlooking the ocean. Adela is a fantastic host and thought of everything, right down to the snorkeling gear and grill equipment. The large pool for the complex is right by the apartment and beach is only a few steps in the other direction. This was our first time booking with VRBO, and Adela made it so easy. Great communication throughout the process and she shared so many great tips for our time there. This was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend staying here.

Summary: This was our first visit to the Cayman Islands and this property was perfect. Adela was superb in all her communication, directions, check in, check out, everything was seamless. This place had beautiful views with an incredible spot right in front on Rum Point pier to watch the sunset on the ocean horizon. The location was absolutely perfect! This VRBO has everything you need. This property was also extremely clean and in times of COVID, that was exactly what we needed. Adela, our vacation was wonderful, we will definitely stay here again!

Summary: Adela, Ms. Barbara and Sweet Sixteen honestly saved our family vacation. We were supposed to be at a place in Bodden Town, and the AC went out and could not be fixed. I found Sweet Sixteen and spoke to Adela, who was so gracious and accommodating! The view from Sweet Sixteen was amazing, as was the snorkeling behind the condo. Thank you so much Adela!! We will definitely be back!!!

Summary: My husband and I had a wonderful week at the condo celebrating our 25th anniversary. Rum Point is absolutely beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what we were looking for. It’s outside of the the touristy areas which we appreciated. More than one person told us it’s where the locals go to vacation. Several good restaurants within about a 10-15 min drive, and Kaibo on the Beach and Upstairs are right down the road. The condo itself was absolutely spotless, and very well equipped. Our host, Adela, quickly responded to a few questions we had. Highly recommend this property. We would definitely stay here again if/when we come back to the Caymans.
