Positive: My host Faustin was amazing during all my stay. He was available and helped me with everything. The room was clean and confortable. The included breakfast was really good (but the same every morning). The shower was hot and with good pressure. The view is nice and the neighborhood is very calm. There are 2 restaurants very close (walking distance). They have a massage facility. Massages are nice and inexpensive.
Negative: There is a gap between the exterior door and the floor so insects can come in. There were nothing much when I was there but it could be fixed.
Summary: Really relaxing stay!

Positive: Loved our stay here! Very friendly staff and the manager was great. The room was comfy, location was perfect. There's no restaurant for dinner, but two very close by, 2 minute walk to each. Breakfast included in the morning was great. Safe and secure parking. The manager also arranged a boat tour to the bat island which was really impressive, a must do! My wife had a massage from Vistine and said it was seriously good. She was really impressed. Overall, highly recommended! Thanks

Positive: Faustin, the staff, was very helpful and provided me good information and a good tour with a tour guide over the Kivu lake. A beautiful place to stay. Good breakfast. The lake is on the other side of the street.
Negative: Cockroaches entered the room from outside and went into the bathroom.

Positive: Very comfy mattress, great breakfast place with sea view above the house.
Negative: There is a street with traffic and a parking lot between the accomodation and the lake. The caretaker tried to make advances to one of the female guests snd reacted upset when she put him down.

Positive: Faustin is a great host. He is the kindest person we've ever met! He helped us organise a hiking trip, put in contact with a local guide and gave good recommendations about the area. He made the difference in our stay at Spa Shallum. The place itself is ok, nice view on the lake, approximately 2km from the town centre. Breakfast was simple but very good.
Negative: The bathroom (the shower in particular) was a bit outdated.

Positive: Good location, spacious rooms. The real winner at this hotel is Faustine - he is an exceptional staff member the hotel is very lucky to have working for them. Without Faustine, our trip would not have been possible. He went above and beyond to help organise so much and upon arrival, our trip was seamless thanks to his hard work. He is an excellent communicator and has great knowledge to help guests. Spa facilities are fantastic and breakfast is lovely.
