Positive: Positives: The house is conveniently located close to the University of North Carolina, making it perfect for anyone visiting the campus. It was clean upon arrival, and although the bathroom floor could use some attention, everything else was in good condition. The house backs up to a walking trail, which provided a nice, quiet setting, and it's located at the end of a cul-de-sac, making it a peaceful spot. Access was easy, and we appreciated the good 4K TV and the washer/dryer that worked well.
Negative: Negatives: While the price was reasonable, there were several drawbacks. There was no microwave, and the dishwasher didn't work, which was inconvenient. The kitchen was lacking basic items, such as dish towels, and there was only one knife available. Additionally, there were no baking pans, and the bathroom had multiple bottles of mostly empty shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The upstairs Jack and Jill bathroom, shared by both bedrooms, only had one sink. The door to the deck wouldn’t open, and multiple lights were out, including one in the stairwell. The futon in the living room was uncomfortable, and the "landlord special" paint job with overspray gave the house a cheaper feel. Additionally, the downstairs toilet “screamed” while filling up, which was quite annoying.The cleaning fee of $100 seemed excessive for the condition of the house, and there were no instructions on how to leave the property, which added some confusion to the check-out process. Overall, the house had a lot of potential but could use some attention to detail. The price was fair for what we got, but some of the issues impacted the experience.
